I'd love a DLC which added some of the ommitted branches from the rush hour DLC and I do think the additional mileage would give value for money and additional game play so would be value for money ND - The Dresden-Klotzsche–Dresden Airport - 4km line with 3 stations, services S2 already in base DLC BS - The franklin line to Foxborough Stadium - 13.4mile line with 8 intermediate staions - services as far as Readville already in base DLC - although I'd love to see some football specials added for game day. BC - Oxted line- 20 miles (aproximately) with 8 intermidiate stations - not sure if these services are already layered in the game but services diverge from main line at South Croydon although final shared station is East Croydon. This has 2 TPH each way although we could also include 1-2TPH London Bridge to Uckfield driveable between East Croydon & Hurst Green before the AI then takes over. The above would give about 40 miles so slightly shorter or comparable with most current DLC although with 22 stations the work involved would be similar perhaps, but as added value these shorter branches could be added for older DLC which argueably should have been included on their respective original DLCs. GWE - Greenford Branch 4 miles with an hourly shuttle service each way with 3 intermediate stations between West Ealing and Greenford, one through service to and from Paddington (at start and end of service) RSB - Iserlohn Branch 5.5km branch - services are already in base DLC but terminate Letmathe in base DLC. Just one intermediate station
Im sure Ive missed plenty of other potential branches and Im sure theyd be enough for another DLC as well if this one sold well
Another difficult one to make a business case for, I reckon. I bought the Rush Hour season ticket, but never really had much interest in Boston and have barely touched Dresden so far because of the issues with it. I'm looking forward to Brighton, but there's enough in there to keep me busy for a long time. Not sure I'd want to spend more money to expand them. If it's a choice between a new route they can sell to everyone, or a similar amount of work to create new lines that they can only sell to people who have already bought and play the original Rush Hour routes (and all three of them), then the entirely new route seems like the more sensible choice. We already know that loco DLC sells less than route DLC (even though they're cheaper), so the same can reasonably be expected of extension DLC. There's potentially an incentive to add in the branches to a newer DLC for free, as per Meißen, on the grounds that it could potentially increase early sales, but even then, I can't imagine it would shift the figures by much.
I don’t mind paying for additional content to expand gameplay on existing routes. Honestly, I would pay a fee to include the entire S2 line if that happens. This would expand the gameplay even more with the S1. Whenever the Meißen branch gets added in, I will be playing the S1 more often. The S2 as of now doesn’t often enough gameplay as it only stops at 3 stations.
For me any branch line would be an instant buy if they keep up quality. Nobody can tell me there is no business case for gwe branches and a potential extension to oxford. This is suggested by many players which like drive the hst and the 20min run to reading just feels too short.
you just made base rush hour routes more busy because of these Services you mentioned in the original post. Regarding Providence MBTA has Providence station to Foxboro service which must cross the main line at Mansfield station for Foxborough
