Just did a whois and it seems the domain registration expired ? https://railworksamerica.com http://railworksamerica.com Or is it just me and my connection ?
Just saw a similar post on Trainsim dot com. Looks like it might have gone but guess that needs confirming. TBH I never used it in a long time, particularly the forum where I was not a fan of the “positive only” posting policy.
I visit it daily and am pretty sure it is a hick-up. Dang admin forgot to pay his registration bill. Whois info: railworksamerica.com Domain: railworksamerica.com Registered On: 2009-06-07 Expires On: 2024-06-07 Status: clientTransferProhibited
The team is on it. I'll keep folks posted until we get it fixed. In the handoff last year Bob apparently forgot to tell the domain hosting people about the change so none of us got any notice.
Yep, up and running again. Welldone Before the fix my laptop would show me a blank white screen, but my phone showed this . . . . . .
It depends on your browser. It has been consistently available on my rig since the "re-boot" of the domain yesterday afternoon UK time. A number of US/NA users have however reported the "inconsistency". Solution - cleanse your browser and then re-bookmark.
I don't think it is the browser. Is just all services catching up to the new DNS settings, and that may depend on what network you connect to. That is why it is up and then down and then up again on my phone I think.
Every thing is working fine so far. Note that it may take time to work itself around the world. You can manually flush your DNS cache. Open a run command as Administrator, then type ipconfig /flushdns Note the space between g and/
That will usually do it. Similar to the government not giving you notice that your license is about to expire and you better renew it because they didn't bother to record your new address when you gave it to them and then charging you $150 to do the extra work to get you registered again when they didn't bother to notify you. (Yes, we should know when it expires, that's beside the point. Just a comparable.)
Not quite. I mean, I have all reskins up to April 2024 done. Tried not to do everything at once because there are the considerations for monthly quotas on the site itself. Rolling Stock I have paused on and plan to do another run with, again considering limits I am imposing on myself for how much to do at a time. But you are right. If the site was gone permanently, I have the entire current reskin collection.
