Tagging you, DTG Matt, because in the Rosenheim stream you asked for S-Bahn suggestions. I would recommend Munich, running from the Hbf lower level to München-Ost (on the way to Rosenheim) and the eastern suburbs toward the sirport. This would tie in nicely with a sort of proto-network, provide more opportunity for the 420 whenever it's released, and, well, create an opportunity for a bigger, better Rapid Transit with a similar city tunnel but a lot more activity.

Would love to see it with some alp scenery in the background. Therefore I would prefer one of the lines which heading south (S3, S6 or S7). But the S1 or S8 to the airport also could be cool.

Having the S1/S8 to drive out to the Airport would have some nice variety. Would also love it if the scenery on the HMA route could be extended to the underground platforms at Munich Hbf, one can dream! :D

S1 would also be fun since we cold get the split of the train. I believe it would be beneficial to extend the Line to Landshut, as even though S-Bahn doesn't go there, this would make Regios more fun( not just being 0 intermediate stop services) and would allow for Landshut-Airport services being better too.

oh man, like REX6 from Bratislava do Deutschkreuz, some services are double traction, with the whole train going as far as Wien Hbf, there it sits for like 10-20mins, before continuing on, at some point splitting, with one half going to Eisenstadt and the other to Deutschkreuz

If you want to go big Then do Augsburg to rosenheim you get ÖBB Baureihe 1016-1216 Railjet Nightjet Nederlandse Spoorwegen Vectron DB Baureihe 403 ICE3 DB Baureihe 423 S-Bahn München Bahnland Bayern DB Baureihe 146.2 111. Freight 185.2 and includes the underground tunnel between Central Station and Munich East.
    Excellent idea overall
