In this Thread I will be recommending 4 S-Bahn Rhein Main Lines.
I think that these routes would be a great first Frankfurt route for TSW2 as the BR420 will probably be added soon.
There is a poll to choose if you would rather have the S8+S9 or S5+S6 added.

    This Thread has 3 Sections:
    1. Route Info
    1.1 S8+S9
    1.2 S5+S6
    2. Rolling Stock
    2.1. BR423
    2.2. BR420
    3. Final Thoughts

    1. Route Info
    1.1 S8+S9
    S8

The S8 line operates between Wiesbaden Hbf and Hanau Hbf driving through Mainz, Frankfurt and Offenbach.
The S8 has a total of 29 stops streching over 70.3 km. The drive from Wiesbaden to Hanau takes around 80 minutes. The S8 drives through the Main Railway, Frankfurt City Tunnel and the South Main S-Bahn.
The S8 stops at the following stations:
    Wiesbaden Hbf-Wiesbaden Ost-Mainz Nord-Mainz Hbf-Mainz Römisches Theater-Mainz Gustavsburg-Mainz Bischofsheim-Rüsselsheim Opelwerk-Rüsselsheim-Raunheim-Kelsterbach-FFM Flughafen Regionalbahnhof-FFM Gateway Gardens-FFM Stadion-FFM Niederrad-FFM Hbf (tief)-FFM Taunusanlage-FFM Hauptwache-FFM Konstablerwache-FFM Ostendstraße-FFM Mühlberg- Offenbach Kaiserlei-Ledermuseum-Marktplatz-Offenbach Ost-Mühlheim-Mühlheim Dietesheim-Hanau Steinheim-Hanau Hbf

If the S8 is too long it can be shortened to:
    1. Wiesbaden Hbf - Offenbach Ost
    2. Kelsterbach – Frankfurt Hbf
    3. Flughafen Regionalbahnhof – Frankfurt Hbf
    4. Rüsselsheim – Offenbach Ost
    5. Rüsselsheim – Frankfurt Hbf

    S9
The S9 line operates between Wiesbaden Hbf and Hanau Hbf driving through Mainz, Frankfurt and Offenbach.
The S9 has a total of 26 stops streching over 66.1 km. The drive from Wiesbaden to Hanau takes around 75 minutes. The S9 drives through the Taunus Railway, Main Railway, Frankfurt City Tunnel and the South Main S-Bahn.
The S9 stops at the following stations:
    Wiesbaden Hbf-Wiesbaden Ost-Mainz Kastel-Mainz Bischofsheim-Rüsselsheim Opelwerk-Rüsselsheim-Raunheim-Kelsterbach-FFM Flughafen Regionalbahnhof-FFM Gateway Gardens-FFM Stadion-FFM Niederrad-FFM Hbf (tief)-FFM Taunusanlage-FFM Hauptwache-FFM Konstablerwache-FFM Ostendstraße-FFM Mühlberg- Offenbach Kaiserlei-Ledermuseum-Marktplatz-Offenbach Ost-Mühlheim-Mühlheim Dietesheim-Hanau Steinheim-Hanau Hbf

If the S9 is too long it can be shortened to:
    1. Wiesbaden Hbf - Frankfurt Hbf
    2. Wiesbaden Hbf - Offenbach Ost
    3. Flughafen Regionalbahnhof - Frankfurt Hbf
    4. Flughafen Regionalbahnhof - Offenbach Ost

    1.2 S5+S6
    S5

The S5 line operates between Friedrichsdorf and Frankfurt Süd driving through Bad Homburg and Oberursel.
The S5 has a total of 17 stops streching over 28.9 km. The drive from Friedrichsdorf to FFM Süd takes around 40 minutes. The S5 drives through the Homburg Railway and the Frankfurt City Tunnel.
The S5 stops at the following stations:
    Friedrichsdorf-Friedrichsdorf Seulberg-Bad Homburg-Oberursel-Oberursel Stierstadt-Oberursel Weißkirchen/Steinbach-FFM Rödelheim-FFM West-FFM Messe-FFM Galluswarte-FFM Hbf (tief)-FFM Taunusanlage-FFM Hauptwache-FFM Konstablerwache-FFM Ostendstraße-FFM Lokalbahnhof-Frankfurt Süd

If the S5 is too long it can be shortened to:
    1. Bad Homburg - FFM Süd

    S6
The S6 line operates between Friedberg and Frankfurt Süd driving through Karben and Bad Vilbel.

If the S6 is too long it can be shortened to:
    1. Groß Karben-FFM Süd

    2.1 BR423

The BR423 was built between 1998 and 2007 and it is one of the most used S-Bahns in Germany today.
The BR423 can reach up to 140km/h and it has the PZB and LZB(S Bahn München) Signalling Systems.
It shouldnt be hard to add the BR423 as it already exists just need to change the Paintjob to the S Bahn Rhein Main one and change the Interior.

    2.2 BR420
The BR420 was built between 1969 and 1997 and it is one of the most famous S-Bahns in service today.
The BR420 can reach up to 120km/h and it has the PZB Signalling System.
The BR420 should be added to TSW2 soon anyway, so just Paintjob and Interior. The best Route for the BR420 would be the S8+S9 as it is still one of the main Trains driving on the S8 and S9.

    3. Final Thoughts
I think that the S8+S9 routes should be added as the S5 and the S6 already exist in TS. The S8 and S9 would be around 30kms longer but the Route would be much more fun as you drive through multiple big cities like Mainz and Wiesbaden. The S8 and S9 would be also better for the BR420 as it is one of the main Trains running there.
If you have anything to add feel free to reply.

S8 + S9 because it can re use Hauptstrecke München-Augsburg DB BR420 as base model with S-Bahn Rhein Main roll sign attached. Difference between S8 & S9 is that S9 goes straight to Wiesbaden Hbf past the Clay Kaserne Junction from Mainz Bischofsheim while S8 diverts to Mainz Hbf Rheinland Pfalz then back to Hessen via Mainz Wiesbaden Railway Bridge. Layers freight services working Brake selector Riesa-Dresden cosmetic only Main Spessart Bahn both giving Doppelstockwagens RE3 Saarbrucken Mainz Wiesbaden Frankfurt Hbf Tharandter Rampe Dresden Chemnitz DB BR612. S5 S6 is a Just Trains TS22 route

I would love the S-Bahn Rhein-Main, but the BR 430 belongs to it as well!

Only the S-Bahn could be a bit too boring as a stand alone... Bute I alway thought about a small network in the area between Mainz, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt Hbf/Süd and Höchst. With a complete timetable with regional trains, S-Bahn and InterCity services. Freight running between Frankfurt Süd area and Mainz Mombach and Wiesbaden Ost, S1, S8 and S9 between Frankfurt Hbf and Wiesbaden completely on all routes and partly S2.
Player driveable Regional trains as in the RMV area: RB10/RE9, RE2, RB75 with all the others as AI, that would only be seen between one or two stations...

Similar concept with the network of Frankfurt Hbf to Aschaffenburg with both, nothern Main Line via Maintal (haha word joke) and southern Main Line via Offebach and the S-Bahn Line.
Freight: Aschaffenburg - Frankfurt Süd/Ost, IC/ICE: Aschaffenburg - Frankfurt and Hanau - Frankfurt
Regional Trains: RE50/55 and RB 58, also wit some AI Lines in Frankfurt and Hanau/Aschaffenburg! Anst, of course as much S-Bahn as possible, beween Frankfurt Hbf, Hanau and Frankfurt Süd/Stresemannallee...

RB58 RB55 are in Main Spessart Bahn are you actually planning to have Have them operate to or from Rüsselsheim using Frankfurt Am Main Aschaffenburg Railway then S8/S9 S-Bahn Rhein Main? Correct end Destination for RB58 is Rüsselsheim while Frankfurt Am Main Hbf bound is Heigenbrücken RB55 Würzburg/Bamberg that's why it has Bahnland Bayern sticker with RMV Frankfurt Am Main Wiesbaden transit tariff. Also RB59 Runs to Rüsselsheim with Gemünden the Final Destination

    https://www.rmv.de/c/fileadmin/docu...tze/Liniennetzplaene/RMV-Schienennetzplan.pdf

I just watched to the plan of the network. The RB58 is a diverging line; some of the trains end in Frankfurt Hbf, some continue to Opel. So the RB58 would have to come partly out of a portal near Frankfurt Süd and would got into a portal just after Aschaffenburg. I also did not get several line number changes in the recent years, so the RB55 seems now be part of the RB58 trains that start in Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof.

Whatever... All the lines, except the RE85 could be implemented, when we would take a recent time period. BR 425, Doppelstocks with BR 112, 143, 146 or (a new developed) BR111 could handle most of the regional traffic.

If we look at the current Lines, we would get a little problem with licenses: The RB58 and RE59 as a major gameplay part are operated by the Hessische Landesbahn for the last four years. But I see, you like the stickers of the head organisations that order the services... So here, the Hessische Landesbahn trains have only the RMV stickers. All lines, that oparate in the Frankfurt area and go further than only Aschaffenburg have also your mentionied Bahnland Bayern mark shown, while trains that divert at Hanau into the direction of Fulda have RMV and NVV (Nordhessischer Verkehrsverbund = north hesse transport organisation) logos on them, because they belong to another lot of vehicles due to another cotract (that is tendered not with Bavaria, but with NVV).

Very helpful indeed and that should explain those RMV stickers on the trains found on S8 S9. S8 S9 only have RMV

Frankfurt doesn't have any BR 420 anymore. Only BR 423, 430 and 425 are used at S Bahn Rhein Main now (especially since you mentioned the station Gateway Gardens, the 420 never saw that station as it got replaced before that station was built)

    With a timetable between 2012 and 2014, everything is possible, 420, 423 and 430 ;)

Not with the station Gateway Gardens (and the new path to Stadion).
    As this was opened 2019.

I am a local and I would prefer the DB BR 420 instead of Gateway Gardens ;-)
    But taste is different...

Same for me to be honest (the local and the BR 420 part) ;)

All I wanted to say is that the OP should rethink the suggestion of the station Gateway Gardens AND the wish for the BR 420.

Of course in the end it would be DTG's decision what to do (and DTG is messing with these details already without the community), so better inform about that time error before it happens
