Really enjoying the Liverpool to Crewe route but the safety valves blowing off all the time is getting very wearing. I'm an engineer, not a computer programmer, or dev, as they seem to be called these days so I don't know if this is possible, it certainly seems pretty straightforward. Have the safety valves lift at 225psi but after 10 seconds or so, have them shut down. We can imagine that the fireman has taken steps to stop them blowing off, put an injector on for example, as he would in real life. When the pressure drops to say 210psi, have the safety valves reset for the next occasion. This should prevent rapid cycling of the safety valve sound which might occur if the reset pressure was say 220psi. My apologies if this has already been suggested.

The safety valves should take out 10 psi and stop being lifted, the firing can be improved but having coal on the shovel and putting the injectors on and trying to keep the loco quiet and economical but not wasting coal when it's not needed

Yeah I must say, these firemen are pretty awful in terms of keeping locos quiet, and also being able to keep pressure when going along the line hahaha
