I came across a really interesting route that could be something of interest to many. A scenic French route that has around 7x TGV services each way and rest with TER suburban / regional services. This could be quite simply said as the French version of the iconic American route, Pacific Surfliner. Route Starting at Saint-Raphaël-Valescure, you start traversing alongside the beautiful French Riviera coastline, passing many suburban stations served by the TER and curving around the natural landscape known as the Massif de l'Esterel before heading into the iconic holiday destination, Cannes. The train continues onwards to another resort town Antibes which is between Cannes and Nice. Trundling its way alongside the coast, it continues onwards to the town of Nice where an historic art deco station is established. For many TGV, this would be the last stop but some continue onwards to Menton, which follows on with the coastline once again to Monaco and into Menton. It would be a good route to showcase high speed and regional services on a regional route that provides a valuable means of transport to tourist, holiday makers and locals during the summer seasons. (The screenshot is a map showing the route as depicted in Google Maps.). The total route distance. 87.4km in total. With roughly around 1-2 hours each way. Nice-Ville Station. Trains With the LGV Marseille to Avignon, an additional layer of the TGV Duplex would be the best thing to do for the trains. Maybe SNCF TGV Réseau could be the flagship train for this route? RER trains, I'm not sure what actually runs there. To conclude, this route being situated in France, would be a nice addition to Train Sim World, exploring commuter and TGV services in a regional setting. The route is extremely scenic and demonstrates some of the best landscapes France has to offer.
