I totally understand that there are more trains in the UK other than sprinters and more routes other than the south west but I personally have been wanting some part of the South Western railway to be included in the game. I have also been desperate for either the class 158 or 159 to be included as they are both widely used across the UK and also a personal faviroute.

I have specifically picked this route as it includes two decent starting and finishing stations and also a respectable amount of stations in between.

I chose Sailsbury as it is a larger station serving sailsbury as well as the location of SWR's diesel maintenance depot.

I chose Basingstoke as most SWR services pass through Basingstoke on their way up to or from London Waterloo.

The class 159 is exclusive to SWR as it is the only operated to operate them. The 159 was one of the main turning points in British rails rolling stock history. It paved the way into future dmu's, emu's etc and how they are designed.

I have tried to include photos but I am having a few storage problems with this new phone Anyone who could help with this, would be much appreciated

You can layer in the 33 for a classic diesel experience. IMHO the best time period on this route was when 33's, 50's and Class 205 Hampshire units were the basis of the train service.

You could do Salisbury to Southampton via Romney and Eastleigh, with scope for both GWR and SWR services. Some short freight runs would also be possible between Eastleigh and Southampton Docks. Though for a busier timetable it would be worth getting a SWR route including the Class 444/450 first to layer on. Simply doing Salisbury to Basingstoke might feel a bit limited, only being able to drive a short segment of the full Waterloo to Exeter route with most services following the same service pattern.

Yes that would be good although I would imagine that they would just put it as a rail tour. Unless it was set in a older time period.

Believe me I did look into this but my thoughts were as we already have a gwr route, I was trying to include a new operator although I was half tempted to put it in... I also considered routes further but to another substansial station...I recon I would be too far...I will have a look into Woking but I believe it is too far
