I'm new here so just asking. Talking personally and this may be like many others, but I get my monthly pension/pay at the start of the month. I bought a few things in the sale but I had to be careful as my money then was low being near the end of the month, now if the sale was at the start of the month when I had more money in my bank I probably may have bought more. So do you think having the sales at the start of the month would be better, would you buy more or is it too much of a temptation to buy more that you can't afford, what do you think? Col.
Unlikely to change as it’s Steam who largely decide when the main sales are held, which is roughly quarterly. As I advised in the other thread, there’s nothing to stop you buying Steam Wallet vouchers at the supermarket when you have spare funds and adding to your balance. Or you can even go into your Steam account and just top up your balance direct from your debit card by varying amounts. All of which gives you a tidy bit of credit in advance for the sales or a worthy new release coming out. The only reason I prefer the gift cards is because I can sneak down to Sainsbury’s on the bike and get them with my spare cash, so the missus can’t see how much I spend on the hobby, ha ha!
Ah thanks Vern, as I said I'm new here and not that familiar with Steam, it was just a thought, but I did see something about vouchers and I never thought of that, I may get some soon and build up a little kitty ready for the next sale. Also your idea is good by buying those vouchers bit by bit when the sale does arrive it will give the illusion you are getting what you buy for free if that makes sence. Col
It does indeed. Though there is actually a psychological hit when you see your £80 balance drop to around £5 as with mine having splurged on TSC in the sale then bought the Goblin line too!
I looked for the Goblin Line couldn't see it. Update I found it I was looking for the title Goblin Line Doh! Col.
Yes they changed the title at the last minute to tie in with the new, ahem, politically correct, rebranding of various London routes by TfL.
If Johnson had named them properly in the first place then Khan wouldn't have needed a project to rename them. The existing nomenclature caused confusion all round. The namings may not be everyones cup of tea but they do reflect people and institutions that had a positive effect on London and the UK.
One of the few advantages of the Playstation versions, you can always get a ~14% discount on everything digital, on top of any sale discount, by buying wallet top ups from select outlets
