So at the beginning of August a youtuber by the name of MrWhoseTheBoss experienced his Samsung phones blowing up which can be very catastrophical if using your phone for long times. This only happens on S4s and up (and the Note phones). So the way you can identify this is by simply checking to see if your screen is bulging if so then the phone likely will explode in the near future. I recommend you check out MrWhoseTheBoss and his content.

  2. Samsung phones are crap! I can't wait until I'm due a upgrade. I've hated this s21 since day 1.

S4s sounds like a very old phone. Samsung is already at S20 I suppose?

Samsung are infamous for problems like this

  8. Yeah tell me about it, the only reason I'm stuck with it is because the Google pixel was out of stock when my contract renewed.

Samsungs are great, I've been using them since 2017, very reliable well made phones.

I agree. In fact I had an S4 mini once.

I find Samsungs to have a tremendous battery life!

We currently have the A10 and gosh after a couple of months of use it started operating slowly and lagging which is very annoying as this is my tool work and I use it for 6 hours on average and sometimes the battery is getting hot and twice swollen… I hope the company will choose wisely the new Samsung model.

Not sure. However if it begins to look like the image (not from me) anywhere on the phone, it indicates it is near explosion. Screenshot_20221003-094528_Gallery.jpg

There's a video in the top post and a picture later down. It's an ongoing issue which has been around for some time.

  18. The problem is lithium batteries get hot when charging, even hotter when discharging. When the phone is charging and being used at the same time (discharging) the batteries overheat swell up and sometimes rupture a cell. When the chemicals in the cell mix with oxygen they burst into flames! The undamaged cells start to over heat from being on fire and rupture and burst into flames!

Newer phones have a built in temperature sensor in the battery so when the battery gets too hot charging is interrupted.

I think it was Boeing had the same problem. Where the lithium batteries were being charged by the engines and used to power all the planes systems at the same time and bursting into flames mid flight!

I also have one for work and an iPhone for personal use. The problem with Samsung phones is that they are not using their own OS. Because they use Android the OS is not build specific for your phone. Would never use Samsung in my daily life.

Had various Samsung phones for the past 8 years and have to say the only problem I have had from them is that it kept losing my wifi signal at Home. Bloody useless. I have had a Galaxy Note 9 for the past 30 months and its been fine. Whilst I am not working I have decided to not upgrade my phone.. The best phone I had and really miss is the Samsung Megaphone. I loved it.

I have had Samsung phones and never had an issue with any of them and would continue to get them.

Add: I just upgrade to the S22 Ultra Note.
