Better described as the Desert Line, it is a North American - Mexican line between high landscapes in an area unique to America with the largest wooden bridges ever built in the world (Goat Canyon Trestle). Completely abandoned since 2008 in some parts. Originally it was a 146.4-mile (235.61 km) route originates in San Diego, California, and terminates in El Centro, California.

It's something I've never seen before, but it's so cool that I had to make a suggestion about it.
The possibility of going back in time here and experiencing it virtually must be truly unthinkable,
    to the 1970s or 50s.

At the bottom there are photos from the past and present and a map of what the route looks like

Interesting, a bit of history could fit nicely :)

Despite the interesting prototype (which I think was done as freeware in MSTS), DTG have stated they are not doing any more North American freight routes for the foreseeable future.

Wont happen, DTG killed any chance of any historical content, and US freight content.

Not to mention people would complain about the slow speeds and the lacking timetable.
