At some Sand Patch timetable services there is a simple chance to build longer trains. So you can couple a manifest train on an empty coal hopper train. The result is a train with 2 locos at the top and additional 4 in the middle and 90 freight cars. But if I did that with my "normal" PS4 the framerate goes extremely down. That's why my question did somebody the same with a PS4 pro? And how was the performance there. I could imagine it's more powerful and can handle it with higher framerate. It would be very nice to bring longer trains through the Appalachies at Sand Patch.
Don't know, I never saw dramatic improvements on PS4 Pro compared to PS4. Anyway, even 52 freight cars trains affect my regular PS4 pretty bad. Not unplayable, but definitely jerky, especially at Cumberland. I managed to uncouple 10-20 cars to make it smoother
