Did the dynamic brakes just get silently fixed in Sand Patch, where they now cancel the air brakes on the locomotives as they're supposed to rather than stacking as they have been? That was a dirty trick, if so. I discovered that I had to come up with a new braking strategy almost literally on the fly, with my 4000 ton, two loco train heading down a >=1.5% grade while near or *cough* slightly over the speed limit and wheel slipping in heavy snow. Managed to get it under control eventually, thank goodness, but jeez.
