    Hello everyone,

I recently encountered an issue when trying to transfer my Train Sim World 5 save files from my desktop computer to my notebook. I copied all the files, which may include several completed scenarios and game progress, from the save game directory on my desktop (C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld5\Saved\) to the same directory on my notebook. However, when I start the game on my notebook, it doesn't seem to recognize the saved progress. Instead, the game is stuck in the basic training module, and I can't load my previous progress.

Has anyone experienced this issue or know of a solution? I made sure the files were copied correctly, but I’m unsure if there are additional steps needed to get the game to recognize them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Which store do you play TSW with? Epic version uses Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld5EGS as the folder.
Does both of your User folders have the same name?

    Thanks for the reply, subwayg0at.

I'm playing the Xbox Game PC Store version of Train Sim World 5. Since I use the same Microsoft ID to log in, the username should be identical on both my desktop and notebook. So I believe that part is fine.

Is there anything else I might have missed, or additional steps I need to check to make sure the save files are recognized? Could it be a version issue or something related to how the game detects save data?

    Thanks again for any help!

Could you check that if there is any other folder under \Documents\My Games\ that starts with "TrainSimWorld5"? The save files may be there.

It sounds like you installed only the core of the game without any DLCs, if there is no content installed, there is also no progress to be shown.

There is a folder named C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld5WGDK on my notebook computer. I had replaced the only folder \Saved inside this directory with those files from my desktop PC.

I have made sure that several essential routes were downloaded to my notebook computer. Also, fyi that I paid for the standard edition of the game.

This folder should have a SaveGames folder in it and it's where your save files are.
If not, please file a ticket at Dovetail Support for assiatance.
