known not to work as intended by Users Beta might work as Users intend, but may need update to reach 1.0 And is it beta in first release of TSW 4 ? TSW 3 has no warning to user that they likely just broke the running scenario by using Save Game. It is definitely beta in Trainz 2022 ... but they remain ahead of TSW 3 in UX where the UI is concerned.
Save game is pretty good these days. A couple of the German routes (BBO, Hamburg to Lubeck) still have issues loading into signal lock ups. If you finish a run, drop back in to free roam take over the next leg or another train, save and load later the game usually fails to reactivate the objective data and clock in the LH corner. But otherwise pretty much rock solid.
I was quite vocal on the matter when they switched off save game for TSW3. Since they turned it back on, I have never had a failure yet.
I tuned save game off as it is not fully functional. By that I mean that a save game should be trusted. I'm a rebel but in storing data I learned that risk taking is almost never rewarded so I do hope there is a final version of save game so I can start using it.
I use it only when I have to; that is mostly toward the end of long freight runs where I don't want to lose 2 hours of progress. It is definitely still an issue on certain routes and services; usually red signal lock so when I run into these I report them on that thread.
