Hello, I was playing TSW4 Free Roam on West Somerset Railway with the Flying Scotsman, PS4. I set a route to couple to some coaches, game crashed. I restart the game, save data corrupted, game deletes it. Level 173, back to level 0. Second time now.
Seems like a faulty PS4 to me. No save data on a console would get wiped or corrupted for no reason. Corrupted saves were definitely a thing from time to time when I used a PS4 though. It’s always a good idea to back up your save to the PS Cloud. Even better, change your settings in the ps menu to have it auto upload, to save you the trouble of manually doing it.
I just lost my profile when arosa kept crashing after that big update. Well, not the whole thing, it just shaved off a few thousand miles. Not the first time either. Mildly frustrating tbh.
PS5 player here. I've started TSW4 and was greeted by the profile creation dialog. Quite confused I've restarted the PS5 to no avail. Sadly the corrupted save file was already uploaded to the cloud and I had no chance to revert anything. Profile gone. Lost my level 200+ and 200h of progress. Quite sad. Never had that happen in any other game.
No, I've only played on PS5 from the start. 200+ level and hours all on PS5. Everything was fine until out of the blue my save game was corrupted.
