Just a point of interest, sorry if its been mentioned before. Why can't you save game during training or introduction in journey mode, it would make it easier if you are prone to making silly mistakes.
I think the introductions are so short and so prescriptive in how they take you through the process that there shouldn't be a need for it. If you can't follow an on-screen process (click this button, move this lever to this position, etc) for a couple of minutes, then you should be made to start again if you get it wrong enough to break it!
