    Hello,
I know that a lot of TSW2 players want to see more high-speed or busy urban routes but I prefer the rural and scenic railroads. The Scandinavian countries have a lot of beautiful places with nearby railways, so even if not many people would buy it, it'd be great, if there were some Scandinavian routes for TSW2!
If you don't know what I mean, here are some pictures (which are not mine):
    Bergen line, Norway
    [IMG]
    Trains in Helsinki, Finland
    [IMG]
    Inlandsbanan, Sweden
    [IMG]
Heritage steam loco on the Aalborg - Østhavnen line, Denmark

Now, after you saw some impressions of Scandinavian railways, do you agree with me that this deserves to be in TSW2?

My suggestions for Scandinavian routes are:
    • Bergensbanen, NO
    • Mikkeli - Kuopio, FI
    • Copenhagen - Malmö, DK/SE
    • Inlandsbanan, SE
    • Flåmbana, NO

Finland isn't a part of Scandinavia? Well, at least it's part of the Nordic countries and even if it's not Scnadinavia, it still has beautiful scenery.
Now to your question: I mentioned Sweden in my personal route suggestions at the end of the post (Inlandsbanan, Malmö - Copenhagen route) and also in the picture of the Inlandsbanan (the 3rd picture).

Helsinki-Riihimäki would be a perfect route for TSW2. It's a 71,4 km section of Finnish mainline including commuter and long distance services. It also includes a part of Helsinki area commuter rail network between Helsinki and Kerava.

My perfect route would be Aalborg to Aarhus in Denmark. It’s my local out there so I would love it!

Oslo to Bergen. The scenery in photos I've seen is just breathtaking.

Why not malmbanan between Kiruna (Sweden) and Narvik (Norway)? With the Iore locomotive(s) or the Dm3.

    Iore.

    And Dm3.

If I got to choose then I would choose the Dm3.

Yes! That seems way more reasonable then the 180km of the Tampere-Helsinki mainline, though that would be cool though.

That Bergen line one in Norway looks like it could be absolutely beautiful if modelled well! Same with the Helsinki one - but would want close ups of the rolling stock before deciding for sure. Not so keen on the rolling stock on Inlandsbanan - looks quite old fashioned and not very sleek to me.
