Just as the title suggests, it would be a whole lot easier to allow for trains to arrive on any of the tracks in a given station. Especially in LIRR. See, when I select a path, it only gives a limited selection. Here's some perfect examples: Hicksville allows for two trains in the same direction at the same time. If I have an AI service arriving at hicksville at track 3 I should be allowed to have my player service right behind it arrive on track two. Also allow AI trains to continue eastbound to clear up a track. Would up with a stopped conga line just west of hicksville. Penn Station: should I really have to say that LIRR trains arrive on tracks 13-21? I can only send a train from hicksville to track 19? Heres my biggest issue: Jamaica. I feel no one really asked about specific track assignments. It's really simple. Track 1: Penn station locals and trains terminating at Jamaica from LI. Track 2: Penn Station express trains Track 3: Atlantic Terminal trains Tracks 4-5: as needed Track 6: usually trains out of Atlantic terminal. This includes Hempstead, West Hempstead, Long Beach and Far Rockaway Branch's trains Track 7: Main and South Shore line trains. These are usually Huntington/Pt Jefferson, Babylon and Branch trains that originate at Penn Station Track 8: same as track 7 minus the branch lines. Also sees loco-hauled trains used for Pt. Jefferson, Oyster Bay and Montauk line trains. Most of those originate from here. A lot of trains stop here at the same time for connections (the famous "Change at Jamaica"). I really wanna schedule services with a train express to Penn on track 2, have a local waiting on track one, and have an Atlantic Terminal train on track 3. Ot would also be cool to have a player train arrive on track 7 to hicksville while there's a Hempstead on track 6, have the hempstead leave first and run local, while the hicksville leave track 7 running express and passes the Hempstead local before Bellerose. I know you guys are working on the "via" feature which would be great since routing trains on express tracks would become easier.
I would like to see custom pathing in the scenario editor. It would give a lot more freedom in controlling where the trains go, not just at stations, but also freight yards.
