So I bought two DLCs from the RSSLO website that should work together: the Tirol Austria - Brennerbahn/Unterinntalbahn Route (https://is.gd/B4NPsj) and the Traxx 3 - BR 187 (https://is.gd/V3EAd7). When I log into any of the three scenarios that come for this loco on this route from the Standard tab of TSC, I get the "scenario failed to load" error message, and a list of 4 missing assets:

    [IMG] [IMG]

Only one of the listed assets is mentioned anywhere in the descriptions of these two DLCs - it is the ÖBB 1144, which is noted as a "free asset" in the Scenarios tab of the route description. The mention links it to the railworks-austria.at website, but the link seems to be broken.

I did further search on that website and found downloads for three of the four missing assets (https://is.gd/pjKdi2 for "OEBB 1144" missing entry, https://is.gd/Pj0beA for "OEBB bmz upgrade" and https://is.gd/llCG1q for "E189 OEBB"), but readme files for these link to a page that suggests manual installation through the editor (https://is.gd/Y0qrPi), including manual placement of a train on tracks, etc. Is this how it is supposed to be done? Shouldn't the DLC be working as-is, without me tinkering with the editor? There is also the problem that the RWP files that come with these downloads need to be installed using Utililies.exe, which in previous cases I tried it resulted in the "1 is not a supported code page" error like the one this user mentions here (https://is.gd/9lBTLO).

And I can't find the remaining asset - "RE474 OEBB" - anywhere at all.

Is this a case of an outdated description of the route DLC? Maybe there were updates to the route and the added assets were not mentioned in the description? Does anyone have a link for the latter asset? Will the scenario load if I manage to install the other assets but can't find this one?

I clicked on "report error" next to the route DLC on the RSSLO page to let them know about this and sent them info and screenshots, but maybe this is easier to solve and I'm missing something? I am not familiar with solving errors in TSC, so I decided I'd ask here just in case.

Many thanks! Often the readmes don't describe which folder to copy it to - should it be RailWorks folder itself, or one of the subfolders there?

Just copy the download's "Assets" folder into your RailWorks folder. That's a standard procedure.

You should then have the folder RailWorks\Assets\astauder\Addon and your addon is installed.

It is recommended after installing new addons to clear the game's cache.

These three downloads unfortunately don't come with an Assets folder - they have the RWP files in them directly - but I'll see if I can find relevant subfolders to copy them to. Thanks again!

It is inside the .rwp file.

An .rwp file is used by Utilities.exe, it just does the same thing, copying the contents to RailWorks. It is a zip file with metadata containing an "Author" and "License" entry, nothing else.

I'm using 7zip File Manager for that, as it opens every archive, and is fast, lean and free, unlike WinRAR.

Oh that makes total sense then. I use 7zip too, just never tried it for opening the RWP files. Many thanks!

Yes - it is my main tool for managing my files. It opens DTG's .ap files too.

Some assets come with an Installer (I don't like that), some older ones can also be opened as an archive, you can click the installer.exe and select "Open Inside" to see its contents. Very handy.

At the moment I'm also downloading RWAustria freeware - a lot of it is needed for the nice old Felberpass scenarios. Everything's available except for the Super Express Concept (withdrawn DLC), which can be swapped for the Class 801.

So the four assets that were mentioned in the error message are no longer there - the downloaded files seem to have solved that - but now it's a series of "OBB 4024" files missing:

I did a search on the railworks-austria website and found two 4024 downloads (https://is.gd/XMRNNN and https://is.gd/15ol2q), but neither fixed it. The RSSLO has a 4024 that is payware: https://is.gd/HUDwDv - I wonder if it used to be a free asset and then turned into paid content.

I could only find repaints for that one - seems you have to buy it...

I only buy RSSLO content from Steam to prevent stuff like that.

But there's also surprises - Allgäubahn QuickDrives have disappearing tracks issue - but I found the reason and fixed that.

The RSSLO 4024 always has been Payware.
The files on RWA give you additional liveries but you still need the base model to make it work.

The OBB 1144 on Railworks Austria is still available as Freeware
    https://forum.railworks-austria.at/wcf/filebase/index.php?entry/96-öbb-1144/
At the top right of the page is HERUNTERLADEN - Download.
And it is a great loco in a lot of liveries - much better than the Payware Sky Hook Games version

Thank you for this - after buying the payware version, the missing assets error messages went away in the first of the three scenarios for the BR 187 on the route, but the scenario still seems to be broken as the first signal does not change from red. And the other two scenarios still have missing assets messages for other stuff. I will install this and see if it fixes anything. I've also sent email to RSSLO detailing all this - and pointing out their DLC description needs updating to include info on what is actually needed to run them - but have not heard back from them yet.
