As part of a larger project I am working on I’ve recently created a Scenario language translation tool. It hijacks a http Google-Translate browser (so, free - though has some usage limitations) but seems to work fine subject to Google Translation accuracy, which due to my language capabilities (almost zero), I cannot vouch for. Switching between localisation sets is easy and you can translate across whole localisation sets or edit individual texts (post translation) or Copy (untranslated) or Keep (original) etc. Scenario developers who need a way to populate and translate scenario texts prior to publication would find it useful, as would general users when confronted by an untranslated scenario. It will attempt to translate/populate:- Name, Description, Briefing, Consist names (optional), Location names (optional), Loco names (optional) as well as all Instruction texts This example shows a German scenario I have translated to English and am now populating its other langauge texts from the English. How’s your Russian? So I am looking for a few competent linguists (cunning or otherwise) who would be able to evaluate translation accuracy/appropriateness across multiple languages and confirm if this is indeed a workable approach.
