Hello again! Today I'm making proposal for another Slovak route ŽSR 143. This route starts in Trenčín and ends in station Chynorany. Length is 49 km (30 miles) and max speed is 80 km/h (49 mph). This route leads through the beautiful Strážov Mountains and through the Bánovská Basin. It's non-electrified and single-track route with standard gauge rails (1 435 mm). It first passes through the mountainous part and the progresses into the basin.

After station Mníchová Lehota is big slope maybe 17 ‰. This route does not have rack railway. It is a small regional relaxing route with 8 trains pre day.

    Here is detailed route:
0 km - Station Trenčín - central station of Trečín (211 m ASL)
2 km - Station Trenčín Predmestie - stop in city Trenčín
6 km - Station Trenčianska Turná - stop in village on the edge of Trenčín
9 km - Station Soblahov - stop in middle of the field, far from the village and start of the mountains
16 km - Station Mníchová Lehota - highest station of the route (405 m ASL)
21 km - Trenčianske Jastrabie station - this stop is down the hill (285 m ASL)
    25 km - Station Svinná
    30 km - Station Ruskovce
33 km - Horné Ozorovce station - stop in village on the edge of Bánovce
35 km - Station Bánovce nad Bebravou (216 m ASL)
39 km - Dolné Naštice station
    41 km - Rybany station
    44 km - Ostratice station
    49 km - Chynorany station (175 m ASL)

Here's full video of this route:

Here's what rides on this route:
Normally here rides ZSSK class 813 ''Bageta'' - diesel unit, modernised 812, two carriages coupled power have 257 kW and capacity about 83 seats and full capacity is 200 people.

Sometimes here show up ZSSK class 811 "Mandarínka" with trailer vagon ZSSK class 011, power of 811 is 237,5 kW with 53 seats and full capacity 90 people. Trailer vagon 011 have 55 seats and full capacity 100 people.

If you want heritage train, it is diesel M 286, in 60s it was riding here and still rides on anniversary ride. Power have 515 kW and 52 seats with total capacity of 130 people.

At last if you are interested of cargo - ZSSK class 751 "Bartodka" is very powerful cargo and passenger locomotive with can take 2 000 tons! But on this route with slope 17 ‰ it can only take 500 tons and if were 2 locomotives coupled then about 1 000 tons. This locomotive have 1 103 kW and it weighs 75 tons. The bogie arrangement is bo' bo'.

That's everything! I hope you like it! TSW does not have any eastern europe routes now, I'm so exited for first czech route and I hope people will like it. I'm bored of Britain and highspeed... so I want more this - non-elecrified, single-track routes and in TSW are not much of them. :)

Here I give you more photos:

Here I'll give you some history of this route:
It was opened on 1st August 1901, this route served as a vital link between two major industrial regions. It was a strategic backup for the main corridor. Most stations still feature their original Austro-Hungarian designs (mainly the Mníchová Lehota stop), giving the route historical atmosphere that haven't changed much in 100 years (except for the new 813 and 90s 811 diesel units).

Hello, here's another freight locomotive that you can see on this route:
It's ZSSK Class 742 "kocúr" his max speed is 90 km/h and his power is 883 kW. He can take 2 500 tons, but on slope on this route only 450 tons. But on this route is very big chance that you'll see two locomotives coupled with total cargo of 900 tons.

personally I am not that much into shunting, tho OBB shunters that serve Kledering facility in Vienna are damn impressive... not that shunting itself isnt interesting, but in TSW freight isnt very interesting cos it is usually just point A to B, and in reality it is very involved :D

It's ZSSK class 810 (M 152.0) with top speed of 80 kmph and weigt of 20 tons. Capacity is 55 seats and full capacity is 95 passengers. It can be connected to the trailer wagon 011, which is mentioned above (in the breakdown of unit 811). The power of 810 is155 kW with engine LIAZ ML 634.

Definitely a first-day purchase. Diesel, single-track, just the way I like it.

This line will be able to use trains from the already prepared Czech line, which will soon arrive in TSW. Those trains will be ČD class 750 "Brejlovec" and class 843. Even though they are from the Czech Republic, we had a common history and ZSSK does not have class 843, I still think it will be possible.

I wish tho that they also added a consist where Brejlovec has some passenger coaches... maybe in future content... but I am happy to finally get my hands on that MIREL thing... hopefully they also provide us with PDF about signalling and everything, so we can learn the signalling/safety stuff properly

    - Ostratice

It makes me cry that the stations are now falling into disrepair, and that's what happens to all stations in the infrastructure. The way ŽSR and the ministry are acting is incomprehensible, during communism the stations was under 24/7 surveillance, now there are no salesmen even at main stations, I still remember how you could buy tickets in my city, now I wouldn't even dream of it. And this new generation Z, they want cars, still just LOVE cars and highways, they are ill-mannered vandals, unwilling, just let them have money and food. It's very sad. :(
One kilometer of highway cost as much as it would cost to reconstruct all the stations on the line, and there would still be more than enough for a cycle path. :(

Trenčín is European Capital of Culture 2026 (after Finland Oulu). Trenčín is revitalizing older railway bridge into a pedestrian zone, Fiesta Bridge, right next to the track. But the modernization of the railway station building - there are plans for it, but it is not confirmed, the bud station was recently modernized and it looks good. Yesterday there was a historic steam train ride towards Žilina, but I think this line would be better for historic rides than the main corridor. Trenčín is already a world-famous city, I would like to welcome it to the game.
