The first thing, that you have to add is the Br423 to the game because it usually runs there, but the Br422 can stay as an AI train for the S6 line
    upload_2021-5-16_17-41-24.png
The second thing you have to add are, PIS for all the stations on the Route and also Destination display update for the trains

If you could add all that, that would be so great, best regards Nicholas

The only thing is, we need the Br423, I wouldn't complain, if the train would have the livery of the München S Bahn, they can still change that in the future, but at least layer this train and not the Br422

Well the Thing is that it still wouldn't be realistic. Because the BR 423 used by the S-Bahn Köln is the unmodernised Version, meaning that DTG has to redo alot of things in the BR 423 and you know that DTG doesnt change stuff on Trains that take quite long for free.

Yeah and I think more people would be like "How could they even implement the wrong 423? Wrong skin! Wrong interior! wrong everything!!21!!". So as long as we don't have the correct 423 in game, i don't think DTG should do this just to get a shitstorm by some very special players. Good suggestion tho!

Alles gut, ja du hast Recht PIS ist auf jeden Fall nötig, dennoch kann man doch die Zug Zielanzeigen updaten mit den richtigen Stationen

The BR 423 for SKA would be a good suggestion for Maik Goltz team. It could be sold in a timetable pack for the S19, S13 and S12. The BR 423 and BR 420 in S-Bahn Cologne livery for 19,99€. With the S12 there could be a train every 10 min between Horrem and Köln Hbf. With a real timetable, two journeys would even drive at night to Aachen.

The BR 420 isnt gonna have a S-Bahn Köln Livery, it has already been confirmed. But hey atleast Livery Editor is still a thing

That is clear to me, which is why this is a new proposal. This has nothing to do with the 13.99€ for the Munich S-Bahn variant. I'm more concerned with a pack like Leagends of Great Western. With the 19.99 pack you would get access to the S12 and the BR420, 423 in S-Bahn Cologne livery

Excellent idea and keep in mind Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen does get ÖBB Rh 1116 services during 18:00-01:00 in the form of ÖBB Nightjet Brussels Midi Wien Hbf provided an Austrian route gets done.

But is it really too much work for the Br423? No I don't think so, because they can take the inside from the Br422 and add it to the Br423 because it is almost the same, and then the outside livery doesn't need much change

    True.
I wouldn't pay 19.99€ for a diffrent Livery and Diffrent Design for the Train + a New Service if im Honest. Rather something under 15€

You don't need to speculate about such a pack. This will not happen. The 423 is a DTG product that i cant change. I would need to build my very own, what, again, will not happen. So we are left with the 420 again, and that will come only to Munich. Period.

I think a “Rheinland commuter” pack would be interesting, with an S Bahn Köln 423 and a Euregiobahn Talent 1, kinda in a similar vein to the BR Heavy Freight pack for NTP.

And that is just one aspect of the whole bigger problem. It seems often like "just a reskin". But actually it isn't only a reskin. There is plenty of 3d artwork to do to make these different versions. Completely new interior for example. With the BR420 in the older liveries it would need a exterior model cut and new doors, and new code to make it working, and and and.... That is a huge pile of work. Not possible for only 5{whatever currency}. If people would be spend a bit more money into all this, the quallity would raise alot i guess. But for a 13.99 you can't expect much from a train with that amount of work involved (IMO). You will ever get kinda rushed out DLCs.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any influence on the price of the DLC you make as 3rd party? I'd be more than happy to pay more for TSG add-ons, knowing they have a higher quality (than the usual DTG ones).

The (mostly) uniform pricing isn't ideal in my opinion, as no matter the amount of effort that went into a route or loco, you pay the same. To me having something like the ExpertLine locos in TS, with higher quality locos for higher prices makes sense. Allowing higher prices for add-ons based on the time and effort they take might also prevent issues like the 101 not having a cab car, as it makes it possible to charge more for a 101 + cab car pack (while possibily keeping a pack with just the 101 at the usual price). However, I would understand it if DTG fears higher prices might impact sales too much to be profitable.

Personally, I don't mind the 422 travelling on the route. The 423 would of course be correct, but - as already pointed out - in a different state of modernization and with another livery.

What would be amazing, in my view, would be a Thalys PBKA as a DLC loco. I have no clue about software loco design, but the power cars on each end would be identical with the TGV Duplex from LGV Méditerranée, I guess.

I made a list of drivable services that could be added to SKA.
It's in a rough format, and doesn't specify if there is a specific variation of a train that operates on SKA. There also might be some inaccuracies, its just based on what information I was able to gather.
When I use "stops" in this list I mean literal stops at stations, so if a service passes a station I don't count it as a stop. All of these listed services travel a distance of more than just 2 stations.
I haven't included any of the services that just travel between Köln Hansaring and Köln Hbf since the distance and service length would be just between 2 stations a very short distance apart, but it would be nice if those services could be added for the traffic density as well.

    SKA Köln-Aachen (+MSB, +RRO)
Unimplemented extra services with currently available stock:
    -Between Koln and Aachen
    -- S13 (16 stops) - DB BR 423 (HMA) - Terminates at Aachen - 2 every hour
    -Between Koln and Duren
-- S19 (12 stops) - DB BR 423 (HMA) (to substitute) - Exists in current route but fictionally served by DB BR 422 (RRO)
    -- S12 (8 stops) - DB BR 423 (HMA) - Terminates at Horrem - 3 every hour
    -Between Koln HBF and Koln-Ehrenfeld
    -- RE 8 (2 stops) - DB BR 425 (HRR) - 1 every hour
-- RB 27 (2 stops) - DB BR 143 (RSN) and Dosto (RSN, MSB), and DB BR 425 (HRR) - 1 every hour
    -Depot movements
    -- Koln Depot
    -- Duren Depot
    -- Aachen Depot
    -Freight movements
    -- Stolberg (Rheinland) freight yard
    -- Aachen-Rothe Erde sidings
    -- Aachen freight yard (Moltkebahnhof)

Unimplemented extra services with currently unavailable stock:
    -Between Koln and Aachen
-- Thalys (Paris-Nord to Koln) (2 stops) - Thlays PBKA (TGV POS) - Terminates at Koln - 1 return per day
-- Thalys (Paris-Nord to Dortmund) (2 stops) - Thlays PBKA (TGV POS) - 2 every day
-- FLX 30 (2 stops) - Flixtrain BR 182 (ES 64 U2 - Taurus) or Flixtrain BR 193 (Siemens Vectron), and former Interregio cars or UIC-X cars - Terminates at Aachen - 1 return every day
-- NJ 424/425 (2 stops) - ÖBB 1116 (ES 64 U2 - Taurus), with UIC-X cars and ÖBB WLABmz 173 cars - 2 every day (Thanks to Driverwoods for pointing out this missing service)
    -Between Koln and Horrem
    -- RB 38 (2 stops) - DB BR 644 (Talent) - 1 every hour
    -Between Aachen and Duren*
-- RB 20 (10 stops/7 Stops*) - DB BR 643.2 (Talent) - Terminates at Duren - 1-2 every hour (*From 2009 deviates on a alternate section between Stohlberg (Rhienland) Hbf and Langerwehe)

Personally I think using the HMA BR423 is the better option over the RRO BR422. Overall I prefer traffic to be represented at a 'close enough with what is available' sense over being 100% accurate, so long as if/when a more accurate version is made, that one gets substituted in.

You are neglecting something here the Austrian ÖBB 424/425 the Wien Hbf to Brussels Midi sleeper train it's an ÖBB1116 which is a Reskined DB BR182. This was suggested by FD1003 on how to make the Taurus DB BR182 family run on Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen with LZB.

Speaking of the freight services, I have a stupid question regarding the freight stations (I don't even know if that is a proper English word). There are lots of tracks for example between Stolberg and Eschweiler with lots of switches. Those parts of the track cannot be accessed, however. Have htey been included to allow for future switching and local freight operations or what is the purpose of those?

Aachen - Brussels would be better off as a standalone route, as it is 76 miles, added to SKA that gets a bit long at the end of it.

Thank you for telling adding the ÖBB 424/425 Nightjet service to Brussels Midi from Wien Hbf via Köln Hbf & Aachen Hbf which I mentioned. The Thalys PBKA TGV POS quadvoltage version also runs on Haputstrecke Rhein-Ruhr Duisburg Essen Bochum Dortmund from Paris Gare Du Nord. Therefore it can be implemented as an Undrivable train together with Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen.

I really don't see any point in DTG making an ÖBB Train just for AI Services.

Good point and for DTG they're going to take this option make an Austrian route that features Nightjet then layer it here.
