Introduction This line is 180km (110 miles) long and euns between 2 of the biggest cities of Germany being Köln (Cologne) and Frankfurt. This line was opened in 2002 and is strictly for Highspeed trains only Electrification in this line is at 15kV 16.7HZ AC and the max speed of this line is 300km/h (186mph) this is strictly a highspeed line so It only lets trains of 200km/h (125mph+) running on this line So this is strictly down to these trains/operators: ICE, ICE, Railjet, Nightjet (at night only) etc. There also will be S-Bahn and Regional services between Köln and Seigburg Hbf. The lines Safety systems is LZB and PZB Trains First train we have is: 1. DB BR412 “ICE 4”: This train was built by Bombardier, Alstom, Siemens and Voith between 2008 and 2017 (a hefty amount of time). It has a max speed of 265km/h (165mph) but a service speed of 250km/h (155mph) this train is indeed the slowest out of the ICE Family. This train comes in 7, 12 and 13 car formations and it’s electric systems are 15kV 16.7HZ AC and it’s safety systems are ETCS, LZB and PZB. This train can run in Germany and Switzerland 2. DB BR407 “ICE 3 Velaro D”: Next we have another train in the ICE 3 Family, the youngest one now is the Velaro D. This was built by Siemens between 2008 and 2012 I’m pretty sure. The Electric Systems are 15kV 16.7HZ AC, 1,5kV DC and 25kV 50HZ AC. It’s max speed is 300km/h (186mph), 320km/h (198mph)and it’s safety systems are LZB, PZB, ETCS, ATB, EuroBalise, TVM, Crocodile, KVB and Sifa. 3. DB BR402 “ICE 2” It was built between 1995-1997 by AdTrainz and Siemens. This was the Second ever ICE and it looks a lot like the ICE 1 apart from some few Minor features such as a DVT instead of two Locos, Headlights in different positions, The ICE 2 is 8 cars long and more !! You are better off making DB BR408 ICE 3 Neo. Even better merge this with SKA that way we can drive Aachen to Frankfurt am Main Hbf both ways. Note that some Aachen-bound services are combined with a DB BR406 towards Hollandstrecke Duisburg Oberhausen Zevenaar Utrecht via Koln Hbf. You must split them at Koln Hbf
