After S-Bahn Vorarlberg there are now possibilities for other Austrian routes in the future. Situated in Lower Austria (like the Semmeringbahn) around 40 minutes away from Vienna, the Schweinbarther Kreuz is a bunch of local railways around Groß Schweinbarth. The route: Obersdorf to Groß Schweinbarth around 18 kilometers, 12 miles with following stations: Obersdorf Pillichsdorf Groß Engersdorf Bockfließ Auersthal Groß Schweinbarth Gänserndorf to Groß Schweinbarth around 13 kilometers, 8 miles with following stations Gänserndorf Prottes Matzen Raggendorf Groß Schweinbarth Groß Schweinbarth to Bad Pirawarth around 5 kilometers, 3 miles with following stations: Groß Schweinbarth Bad Pirawarth The train: The ÖBB 5047, build back in the 80s and 90s is still on many routes in Austria in service. From 1987 till 2019 the 5047 operated on the Schweinbarther Kreuz. Backround: Due to the shrinking number of passenger the route was closed with the 14th of december 2019. Since then Buses connect the villages. The route is quite short, so it shout be very detailled like Niddertalbahn or Blackpool-Preston-Ormskirk
true. maybe a fun branch line if they did Wien Leopoldau to Mistelbach and Drösing or something like that. Vienna has a lot of lines going through and connecting. A good canidate to stray away from just A-B. but as seen with Salzburg - Rosenhem. they don't feel like branch lines unless they can make them into their own 25 euro DLC probably. would love to be proved wrong though
