Found a problem. When spawning on foot on the time timetable it puts you in the old timetable.

 

PS5 mate it is. I have recorded and Jason on the TSW Discord said this problem is already known. jasonpfc

Stupid question but why are there no railtour services (Class 47, Class 20, etc.) in the 2024 timetable? They appear only in the 2019 one. The 2024 only show Classes 314, 380 and Class 66.

Also, have not come across an Azuma AI. Can someone please tell me when and where they appear? Thanks.

Is it fixed yet. The problem is on Xbox series x/s as well. I wanna laugh but I won’t.

 

Is there a reason why this DCL doesn't come with a Xbox Game Pass discount and is only charged at full price ?

 

It usually turns up later in the day or the day after. If you wait, it will show up eventually.

 

DTG Matt Sorry for the tag Matt. Whilst I'm enjoying the 380, the first obvious thing I noticed in the cab, is z-fighting. I understand from the roadmap stream, that the team would look at preventing this happening any more going forward, yet the latest content released is still suffering from it. It's such a shame, because otherwise it's a lovely train.

If you are not getting the correct items showing then perhaps delete the 380 and redownload it. Hopefully that should solve the issue.

 

The new timetable isn’t working using the “on foot” option. I have the DLC installed, alongside all of the other content for the timetable layers. I select the 2024 timetable and spawn in at Glasgow Central. Empty aside from the 314s.

New timetable does appear if I choose a service to drive so there’s no issue with the correct DLC being installed, just that it cannot be accessed using the on foot option.

It’s a shame because I like to explore on foot when I get new DLC.

 

What are you on ? I’m on Xbox Series X and have got the same issue, the first thing I did was go to timetable and spwan on foot at Glasgow Central and just 314’s showed up

 

Same here I think this is the first time this has happened with a DLC PS5.

I done the same exact thing and I’m on Xbox series s. But I’m still playing cathcart as we speak. But no 380 time table.

 

Series S. Same, timetable spawn just loads the old timetable.

 

Yeah shame but at least it doesn't effect the timetable driving.

 

Not a big deal just pick a train from the timetable and then give up control of said train and voila, free roam.

 

Tried that. Even deleted the train. Thought it worked but a few minutes later it told me to to wait for departure time.

The silence from DtG is deafening. This issue has been reported on the bugs page and discussed on several threads without any acknowledgment from Dovetail whatsoever. I don’t like to refund but when I buy something and it doesn’t work as advertised I’m left with little choice.

 

Is the spawn on foot bug on both platforms or specific?

 

Looks to be across PlayStation and Xbox. Don’t think it’s been released on Steam yet.

On the epic games platform it seems ok.. Glasgow central is filled with 380's...

 

This has been an issue since the most recent update, it also affects user made timetables in the editor where previously it worked.

 

The timetable loading issue was fixed by the latest summer core update on pc. So it looks like the console versions somehow didn’t get that part of the update.

 

That spawning on foot into the older schedule must be a console thing. I just spawned into Glasgow Central in the 2024 schedule and had plenty of 380s around me.

 

Yes it is fine on PC.

 

I've driven a couple of runs. It's fairly standard as one handled emus go, off the DTG conveyor belt, nothing special. But in so far as it adds gameplay and AI to the route, I guess I'll hang on to it.

I actually prefer the older train, the 314, as a more interesting drive, needing a little more attention.

The remastered route though is impressive. Can the " Liam night lighting " be exported to other routes like BCC and Glossop, which I can't currently play after dark? And will that " consistency ", talked up on the Roadmap mean that all future routes will have this kind of night lighting?

 

I spawned in a 380 on timetable mode it worked fine it's just spawning in on foot it puts you on the old timetable it's obviously a console thing as it's fine on pc

 

I have to say it, the new timetable is really well done. Good mix of 380 and 314 on all four service patterns, plenty of depot runs, peak time trains that stable in the yards during quieter time periods, some services have shunts at Newton while others don't. Plus the bonus 170 and 385 ECS, the two engineering services and the railtours. This one was absolutely not a "copy paste" timetable. I tip my hat to whoever put this together, it really reflects the real feel of the railway with busier and quieter times.

 

So you really say it happens the same mess i encounter with german / austrian dlcs? The one dtg keeps being silent since tsw4 now?

I also spawn on foot and cant see vectrons on semmering. (No mods installed).

Cant give feedback but im really happy to say havent bought it.
I like the 380, and 1 year ago this would have been a sure day 1 purchais. For various reasons my wallet stayed closed with another release.

 

Make sure you have Blackpool Branches DLC as I believe you need the class 47 from that dlc.

 

You also need the Flying Scotsman DLC, for the coaches I think?

 

Yep, that was my mistake. I had uninstalled the Flying Scotsman and had not re-installed it prior to playing Cathcart.

 

I have the Flying Scotsman but i haven't seen it as AI on Cathcart

 

The Spawn on Foot problem appears to have been fixed on Xbox. Thanks for the swift response to this issue.

 

The Scotsman is needed for the cars in some railtour services. The loco itself does not appear.

I'm pretty sure it does appear, not sure when or what it actually does but I'm pretty sure I remember hearing it does appear, however only as AI unfortunately.

 

Per the timetable deep dive article: "Lastly, as seen in the timelapse, Flying Scotsman makes an AI-only appearance at Glasgow Central in the mornings of July and August."

 

Could someone help me out please how do you uncouple the class 380s I've done the gangway but can't find an uncouple button

As usual TMS is a nightmare on console with joy sticks.
It would be great if the TMS on all trains could be selected by clicking on it, then navigated using the D pad and X button. Using the pointer like a mouse on a controller is really difficult, and I have good eyesight and dexterity. It must be really hard for those with more limited vision/movement.

Tramsim on console has this feature. Press triangle to access IBIS then navigate with d pad.


Otherwise the train is awesome.
