Rivet (Jasper_Rivet ) Can the following be looked at please!

    PIS - Platform
PIS boards on platforms need to be updated to include the missing stations.

Current Alloa services are missing Larbet and Stirling from their calling points
    [IMG]

And Dunblane services are missing Edinburgh Park, Falkirk Grahamston, Camelon, Larbert, Stirling and Bridge of Allan.

    PIS - Train
Since the February/ March update, the AI & off map terminating services (Alloa and Dunblane) spawn with blank PIS systems, where it was working before. Something in that patch has wiped out this feature.

    TMS - Audio
Can we please get the Dunblane and Alloa voice lines for the TMS! When running a service, it just blanks out the destination and, while not end of the world, would be nice to get the full anouncement.

Also, when at the final station, the "this is" audio plays the last station (Haymarket for Edinburgh and Croy for Glasgow).

    Neutral Sections
Since the Feb/Mar update, the netural sections apply the brakes and can considerably decelerate the train before recovering. This needs looking into as it is increasingly frustrating. It appears to be random in it's appearance.

Loving the route so far, and it has quickly become my favourite!
Would love to see you take on some more Scottish content!

Edinburgh Waverley also cuts off in the platform PIS boards.

would also be great if the timetable issues below could be looked at -

The last service in the game is 21:44 at either end, but this should be 23:45(44 service start) from both? Adding an additional 4 services in either direction.

As an aside the rush hour services that should stop at Lenzie & Bishopbriggs, instead of Linlithgow & Croy aren’t set correctly and just all stop at Linlithgow & Croy. The stopping pattern on services on the hour and half past the hour from Glasgow & Edinburgh between 7:30 & 9:30 in the morning and between 16:30 & 18:30 in the evening (with the additional23:15 from Edinburgh) should be Lenzie, Bishopbriggs, Falkirk High, Haymarket and vice versa.

And finally having TMS announcements recognise the destination, next stop snd arrive at when you take over a service in free roam.

Very close to being a great well polished route if these issues listed in this thread are sorted.

Don’t hold any hopes of anything else getting sorted. I think this route is already dead in the water.

With an attitude like that, it will be.

Rivet are looking at Sursee and IoW at the moment, so why not make some minor changes to E-G too?

The scenery is still non-correction, too.
・Overhead wire of a high pressure steel tower and the roadside
・I do not automatically hear the automatic broadcast, too
・A stop position marker gets a wrong some stations
・The cars which drift at the station square rotary

You’re not really asking for minor changes though are you?

Also, have you seen the forum? It’s very tiring having to feed this stuff back to devs on a constant basis with every single route.

I do agree with the above comment, this route is pretty much dead, there’s so much ‘meh’ about it, the 385 could have been something special, but has been built via Rivet’s usual mediocre approach to rolling stock.

It’s not an especially interesting route, it’s very quiet, green and straight with no real stand out features in the terrain.

With a route like this you need to put work in to make it standout, otherwise it’s just a straight line EMU A-B chore.

I was excited about this route, right up until I saw the preview. I can’t help but wonder how much better it could have been if Rivet hadn’t wasted time on working lifts, moths & other useless stuff that got prioritised over the route & rolling stock.

This route really is such a huge disappointment in the end. Everyone was so hyped about it with the detailed stations and so on, but it turns out they neglected some of the very basics. The update that was supposed to fix at least some of these issues ended up braking even more things, including the absolutely insane removal of the “press right stick to activate external camera” feature on consoles, which is present on all other routes and used by the players incredibly often. I’m so so glad I didn’t fall for the false promises and buy this route…

I suspect most of these ARE minor though, a few lines of text correct the missing calling points, I highly suspect the audio was recorded for Dunblane and Alloa, but a bug or errant code means this doesn't play, much like the "this is Waverly or Glasgow" voice lines.

The bug fix for the NS is an obvious "you broke it, investigate and please fix it" as well as the missing destinations for off map services.

I'm not demanting they rework the scenery or add extra stuff in, this would probably take less than a days work for an experienced UE coder/ programmer.

Which is why, we need to keep the pressure up, keep reminding them that things do need changing or they win...
they'll come to believe that we're happy with sub par because we don't demand changes..

I mean, I would argue the same about every other route added.
BML is another "green light snoozefest" and there's no real interesting scenery or interesting features. SEHS is the same, but lower speed.
BCC is dull because its constant stop start and again, 99% green signals

I mean, you're entitled to your own opinions, but doesn't mean you can just say "RoUtE iS dEaD" because you don't enjoy it.
For example, I refunded Niddertalbahn because I wanted to like it, but it didn't interest me?
Do I go around and flame other peoples opinions because it doesn't agree with mine?
No, because I enjoy EDN and I would like to see the improves stated....

Wow, at what point did anyone ‘flame your opinion’? Expressing a different opinion doesn’t mean someone is ‘flaming you’.

Id say flaming someone’s opinion is replying with quoting their opinion as “RoUte iS dEaD” it’s abit childish really isn’t it.

If you stopped getting so worked up because people say they don’t like the route, maybe you’d see they’re agreeing with you that it needs work?

But yeah, good job on derailing the only discussion taking place on this DLC.

OMG, I've not played this in a while but how do they manage to break a CORE FUNCTION OF THE GLOBAL CONTROL LAYOUT?

I'll have to go and test this on XBox when I get a chance.

Am I the only one that kinda likes the route? I’m from the US so I know nothing of accuracy of the rolling stock or route, but ignorance is bliss I guess.
What stands out about it? Idk, I like the scenery (what little I can see of it through the little porthole), it all feels very Scottish (in my head) and I like the how the 385 drives and sounds. I’m weird though.

I like it. As one of my "home" stations, Edinburgh is great, though it gets to me that they DON'T HAVE THE EXITS WHERE THEY SHOULD BE. We don't need the escalators to let us up past an invisible barrier at the base of the stairs, but the stairs ought to at least be visible, not just a blank wall!

I'm just fed up of posting about some minor text changes that I'd love to see added, and getting frankly quite stupid and unwanted comments about "how I'm asking for too much" and that "The route is dead, stop expecting updates". I hate seeing how people got so mad that the GSM-R didn't work, because on the 323, it shows the headcode, but we got a whole TMS instead, complete with fancy selections... but that wasn't good enough.

I enjoy this route. It's my go too, along with WCL. I get so much flack and hate from this forum for simply liking those two routes. I merely posted the other week about the WCL steam railtour and got a rather hateful message from someone about how I shouldn't enjoy that "lazy" content

Maybe it is childish, but so are the needless replies you get here. Every electric route in this game is an "A-B EMU chore", they're all green light runs, but guess what? It doesn't bother me in the slightest. As I said, SEHS and BML for me are dull, and BCC is a chore because of the run time and excessive stations. I like the express feel to EDN, the Alloa and Dunblane services are a quick time filler or the full express run is if I have an hour to spare. I just want to be able to see the stations on the PIS and hear an announcement that doesn't just cut off before the destination...

As I said above, I'm not asking for the world to be rebuilt, I'm just reminding Jasper that there are some changes that I'm sure the community, at the very least, would like. Heck. They're even looking (finally) into the '38 stock audio bug, something that has been there since day one.

But getting "this route is dead", "I'm fed up of seeing this type of forum post" etc.... doesn't help anyone. It's only dead if we stop the pressure and let them forget about it.

Fine, next time, I simply won't bother.

definitely never anything wrong with wanting what’s they’re to be actually working, this should be top priority as the most pressing issue with the game as a whole, especially if they’re looking to keep regular customers.

really getting annoying when so many routes have half broken PIS and no Tailights on Ai type stuff

I only wish that if we players, on all platforms had the ability to repair these things.

    Oh if only!
I'd happily make the adjustments myself, if I knew how and had access to the files!

Its really weird for me. A route that I thought I wouldn't really like has turned out to be one of my most played!. I am really hoping they sort the issues of no rain on the windscreen when in motion and the brake applications in neutral zones out then job done in my opinion.

You know if anyone but rivet has made this route, it would get a lot more love then it does.

And if deserves to be loved IMO. Yeah it's not perfect but for me it seems more complete then Birmingham Cross City.

    I enjoy the route.

I have to agree with the fact that is a fun route to drive. As far as the issues with the neutral zones, well, if you put the CPBC in power off at the zone black warning sign, then the brakes will apply and release as you go over the magnets. With the power in off, traction lock will not be in effect, and you can apply power as soon as the indicator light goes off.

Without getting too embroiled in the earlier discussions one thing that does hit the nail on the head, regardless of the publisher, is that it's yet another 40 or so mile A to B electrified route, of which TSW already has a plague. Which is why I'm quite enjoying Niddertalbahn, far more than a 60 km/h stop - start journey across 30km of largely flat terrain ought to do. For starters the route is well made, it's single track with semaphore signals, it has level crossings that sometimes fail and - apart from a bit of AI if you own West Rhine, 100% diesel.

If you're going to do an A to B electric route then it needs to be top notch both in terms of the route and the traction offered, to offer any incentive to purchase over what we already have. Ironically if Rivet had set this route in a slightly retro period when the service was diesel operated or even the push pull era, would have been an essential purchase for me warts and all.

I've had the 3 car Dunblane services be totally uneffected so far, the whole NS bug is just baffling.

I really wanted to like Niddertal, but I don't seem to enjoy German content as much. Maybe it'll try it again when it's on discount. But I agree, the A-B electric routes are abit tedious, but there is something with EDN that I just keep going back for.
We're all entited to our own opinons, which is fair!

Although I suspect EDN will be overthrown by the MML! Time for a sprinter to take over!

    My biggest bug concerns with this route, before I think it’s a good idea to purchase for me is;

    - Wind Noise in Cab
    - lighting in tunnels
    - rain on cab window
    - Neutral Section Braking
    - Announcements working as intended

I’ve also worryingly heard it lacks
Morpeth boards but I’m not 100% sure on that one

Edit: additional they are 2 other things that make me wonder on the decision

1st, how come half of Waverley is inaccessible but has been modelled to quite the detail, seems very strange.

2nd, I’ve noticed this in SEHS aswell, things like shop interiors or platform seating interiors have been modelled inside, but you just can’t get in them, some have their doors open but invisible wall blocks access… I can’t understand the decision on that to put effort and time into adding in assets but then lock it
