Could you please post route ideas for Scotland here and also there is a bit of speculation on rivet games that they might be making a Scottish route.

Hello I'm suggesting on modern-day route will take place in 2022. The West Highland line Glasgow Queen Street to Oban.
    Trains

    BR Class 156 (ScotRail)
BR Class 73 (Caledonian Sleeper (Serco))
BR Class 153 (ScotRail Highland Explorer)

    Services

    Glasgow Queen Street - Oban
This train is a 4 car service as far as Creinlarach. Then board the train and uncouple it at Crianlarich. Wait 3 mins then depart on the Oban line for Tyndrum Lower. Stop at stations and arrive at Oban. Unload passengers, turn on the tail lights and switch headlights off, close the doors when all passengers have allighted safely and then end your service.
During Peak time services and extra car (Class 153 Highland Explorer) will be added. Mon - Fri 6 trains per day and a service to Dallmally in the afternoon. On Sunday there are 3 train per day. Saturday there are 6 trains per day but the Dallmally train does not run.

    Creinlarach - Glasgow Queen Street
Drive this Class 73 Locomotive with 10 MK 5 carriages with sleeper rooms, a càfe car and seated coaches operated by (you guessed it!) Caledonian Sleeper (Serco). Call at all stations to Glasgow Queen Street and allight the train at Glasgow.
This can also be operated the other way in the morning. Glasgow Queen Street - Creinlarach.

    Why?

One of the most busiest and most scenic railway journeys in the world. Anything can happen any day weather it be an avalanche, a signal fault or a tree on the line. So many exciting scenarios can be made from this including interesting services. If you have ever traveled on this route you will know that almost every single train is packed! With passengers getting the train to Glasgow for their flight later on or for holiday makers looking to get to there destination. Every day is a new day on the west Highland line.

Thank you for reading this. I really hope this gets made and I really hope you enjoyed reading it and I Hope you all have a nice day!

    Simple

    All of them.

Each route has it's up and downsides, but basically any and all of them would be good.
Other than that I don't see a reason to compile them all into one post as this detracts from wider suggestions

I'm hoping for the Inverclyde Line between Glasgow and Gourock / Wemyss Bay (both branches), as it has a nice blend of stopping and semi-fast services, along with really interesting and variable scenery.

Or possibly the routes between Glasgow and Largs / Ardrossan, i'd be happy with either of those two possible options!

That would be amazing to have all of them in the game.

Inverness area @1972, when the Type 2 Class 24 and 26 were king.

Extent of route would be south to Aviemore on the Highland Main Line (around 30 miles) giving the 1 in 60 slog over Schlod Summit.
Northwards to Invergordon or Tain on the Far North Line, well just north thereof to encompass the various industrial locations, roughly another 30 miles.
Dingwall out to Garve on the Kyle Line would also be good, adding around another 12 miles.
Much of the motive power and rolling stock already exists, at this time most services were predominantly worked by Mark One stock though a few more vehicle types would be required - sleeping cars and RMB buffet car along with a BCK (can't remember if we already have a CK in the game). Star of the show would be the famous Class 26 Sulzer Type 2 British Rail Class 26 - Wikipedia though of course at this time Class 24's were also still working in large numbers in the area. British Rail Class 24 - Wikipedia

Class 40's could occasionally be seen on Highland Line services also freight along with Class 37's and Class 20's. Class 47's were still relatively rare at that point, the "Clansman" through daytime service to/from Euston did not start operating until 1974, though they could turn up on Motorail services from Kensington.

There was an allocation of 08 shunters to work the busy freight yards at Milburn and act as carriage pilots between Inverness station and the sidings. Also used for trips down the Inverness Harbour branch which still existed at that time,

Aberdeen line services at this time were worked by Class 120 Cross Country DMU's British Rail Class 120 - Wikipedia though unlike their cousins on the LM and Western Region were painted all blue rather than blue and grey.

This would be such a great area to see in TSW, particularly now the JT Highland Line for TSC has been scrapped and the nostalgia appeal for us old diesel heads would be utterly off the scale.

That's an interesting suggestion, have you sent it to rivet games?

If addressed to my post no, I wouldn't want Rivet near any of my suggestions with a bargepole!

I would if I could have all the Scottish routes in the game but that is very unlikely so I'd choose my top 3
    1. Modern West Highland Line Class 156, Class 153, Caledonian Sleeper
    2. Ayshire Coast Line Ayr-Girvan-Kilmarnock-Glasgow, Class 380
    3. Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverly via Falkirk High with Class 385 and Class 380 peak service

With longer routes being a thing, ayrshire coastline with the inverclyde line, would pretty much be a massive network, set it pre-2015 and you can add an extension to strangers or girvan at least

    Mine would be:
1). Edinburgh Waverley to Dundee via the Forth and Tay Bridges, with the Class 170 in Saltire livery and the Scotrail 'Inter7City' HST.
2). Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk with the Class 385 and Class 66 in Freightliner livery for Grangemouth.
3). Inverclyde Line from Glasgow Central to Gourock and Wemyss Bay with the Class 380 and layers for the Class 314.

1). Oh, cool! I'd love to see some rail routes more up north.
2). I've been on that route before. It would be great to get some Class 385's.
3). I've always wanted to get a Class 380. Such a great train . Like bdlhouston#8691 said you could bundle it in with the Ayshire Coast Line.:)

A trail of poorly finished content in their wake, with promises to fix it largely unfulfilled. WCL and the 150, the sound issues on the 1938 stock etc., etc. I would not trust them to make any route I particularly wanted to see in TSW.

Ayr to Stranraer was my first attempt at building a route in MSTS, back in 2001. Think it would be more fun in the diesel hauled era though.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree. I love the Class 380 and Class 156 and they look so great on this coastal route.

Believe me, if you had experienced steam heat Class 40 hauling 8 Mark Ones to and from Stranraer, you would think differently!

    Likewise!
We will have to agree to differ, though I quite like 156's in the right place nice Cummins underfloor thrash. Just feel scenic routes are best appreciated from a nice Mark One coach with a Class 26, 37 or 40 powering away on the front.
