Hey Everyone All themes will be randomised so they won't be following the specific list below. If a theme appears in the poll twice, one of the entries will be replaced. When a theme is chosen, it gets eliminated from the list and won't be featured in the poll anymore. This is why some of the most common themes, such as Freestyle or country-specific themes are repeated to make sure they are featured multiple times. The list of themes might change throughout the year to accommodate new releases and any changes that might occur with the game. Err, so why is it starting again tomorrow, when we are in mid contest and what's different from what we've been doing for the last year?
What's the difference between Freestyle and Worldwide? Night and "in the dark"? Please could you clarify whether judging is on number of votes, or which screenshot DTG likes the most?

On the topic of Excluded Products, is there any reason why Raton Pass is on that list? From as far as I know the route is available worldwide, with the Santa Fe Markings removed from non US buyers of the product (Similar to the BNSF markings being removed from the Chicago Racetrack and the Montana Hi-Line.) You have Cities, so why not Countryside? Also coming off of this weeks theme, I don't see Yards on the list.
(triggered by Blacknred81's post) Erm, I don't know why Fort Kent - Eagle Lake is excluded. Sure it's old as heck, and not very likely to win due to scenery, but available, and doesn't use any BNSF assets from the Classic US. JGRudnick I assume cities is included to limit the submissions - looking at my screenshots, countryside might be the norm for many. (Does forest qualify as countryside, or is it a UK / Ohio Steel thing where it has to be farms? Genuine language learning question.) The contest is more likely to pick habitated areas though, as is.
Countryside in the UK usually means the land away from towns and cities, for most of the UK it's cultivated land, but it does include woods and forests.
