One of the first trains of the day on the North Jersey Coast Line speeds across one of the many drawbridges between Bay Head and Long Branch. Since this train is going directly to Penn Station, it is equipped with one of NJ Transit's ALP-45DP locomotives for the tunnels.

70001 rounds the curve after crossing the Menai Strait from Anglesey into mainland Wales, the rear half of its train yet to have completed the crossing as the early morning sunlight just catches the treetops on this cool, damp September morning.

    Lol nice.

When I was in school, I had to learn to pronounce that. I can still do it. Someone had recorded a song with the name in it, and this is how we learned. The name was always a marketing stunt - it was done to attract tourists a long time ago. But nevertheless, it's still impressive. :)

It's an African dawn in the summer of 2005 as a SAR Class 24 crosses the Knysna River on the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe route. Sadly, the next year storms, landslips and a lack of profitability would close the line for good.

    Seconded by me.

Why not put the banner at the top of the screen? It doesn't have to always be at the bottom.
