hi there i noticed in a lash up the rear lights at all wont work i have the lead loco set to controlling at long end and the trailing loco set to control at either end i set the rear lights to bright but they wont at all come on i am playing at night would this be a bug ?
If this is the OG SD40 in "stripe" livery, it carried over the same problem from its Clinchfield original: the light controls do not work properly even on a single engine. If it's the SD40-2, then you need to set up both the lead and trailing engines, not just the lead (of course, if there is a consist behind them, the trailing engine wouldn't have lights on) If you mean an engine at the back of the train, unconnected from the lead, then it is independent and cannot be controlled remotely.
hi there thanks for the reply its the sd40-2 on the sand patch grade that came with the game originally before the expansions not the sd40 that's on clinch filed that works fine i have the lead setup as controlling unit at long hood end and the trailing unit set to controlling from unit at either end on the same lashup like two engines connected with each other like tow in the front for example its in the sd40-2 YN3B
Hmm. I've never had any problems with the SD40-2 and very similar GP38-2: lead engine set to "Controlling coupled at long hood end", trail set to "controlled either end." From that point the lead loco's front and rear headlight controls should govern both .
nothing at all i don't have problems with the gp38 its the sd40-2 the rest of the locos are fine with the lights working just not that loco for some reason i have it setup correctly there just not coming on
the sd40-2 in the csx livery the number lights dont work either front and rear but they do in the clinch field livery
