This is (I think) the first time I've driven this loco in TSW5- anyway, the brakes do not apply! The equalizing reservoir drops as expected, but the brake pipe never goes below initial reduction pressure- making the train impossible to control on downgrades. (Yes, the system is cut in in the MFD)
As far as I can tell, the SD70 is incapable of DP operation of ES44s in train. The brakes simply do not work all the way back; the trailing units do nothing whatsoever. Worse yet, with banking comms engaged, even the lead unit is incapable of more than a minimum reduction, making a fairly modest 1.5% grade a runaway. (and, no, you can't control through the window on Cajon)
