Progress Rail (a subsidiary of Caterpillar) purchased GM's Electro-Motive Division in 2010 and renamed it Electro-Motive Diesel. In 2015, EMD developed the new SD70ACe-T4 with their Tier 4 compliant, 4-stroke 12-1010J Prime Mover. The new SD70ACe-T4 produces 4600 hp. So far, UP and CSX are the only railroads to buy these new, modern locomotives. UP owns 100 of them numbered 3000-3099. CSX has 10 numbered 8900-8909. UP calls the locos SD70AH-T4s; CSX designates them ST70AH. NS was going to order 10, but cancelled their order. Two of the demo units are SD70ACeP4-T4s with 4 powered axles similar to the GE ET44C4s. These two units are demos for BNSF. Progress Rail keeps the cancelled NS units as part of their lease fleet. If we get the new SD70ACe-T4 in TS, it should come in the following liveries: -UP (for Sherman Hill or Cajon Pass routes) -CSX (for any CSX route) -Progress Rail/EMD Prototype -PR/EMD Lease Units We also need some modern rolling stock with the new SD70ACe-T4s, including new auto racks, intermodal well cars, coal hoppers/gondolas, etc. The SD70ACe-T4 needs to be added to either TSC or TSW3 (preferably both).
