    Season of Reveals 2025 - Week 2 Drop (December 8th 2025)
Announcing: The Medway Valley Line from Firefly Simulations
    [IMG]

That’s right! Firefly Simulations, which we introduced previously in the November roadmap, are entering the scene with the Medway Valley Line for Train Sim World 6! Speaking on behalf of Firefly, MVL aficionado DTG James will take you through the highlights:

James: "Anyone who knows me would be aware I’m a Medway Valley local and I’ve long been an advocate for getting the Medway Valley Line into Train Sim World, and I was delighted when Firefly Simulations approached us with their plan! I’ve assisted with research and reference since, and now, I get the privilege of sharing it with you all on today of all days, it’s my birthday!"

"The Medway Valley Line takes you on a tranquil journey through the Garden of England from Strood, which you may know from Southeastern Highspeed, and down via Maidstone to Paddock Wood & onward to Tonbridge. It’s something of a journey that time forgot, with many historical and natural features, grade-listed buildings and signal boxes which are still staffed to this day. Also included from Southeastern Highspeed is the stretch from Gravesend to Rainham, enabling gameplay to the likes of Hoo Junction and Gillingham depot - this section has seen significant uplifts compared to SEHS, and brings the route to a total of 26 new and 13 updated miles."

"Firefly have gone above and beyond at every turn, capturing the route to almost picture-perfect detail, it’s a wonder to explore. For PC players, all the level of quality you’re used to in the Fife Circle and WCML enhancement mods is present but dialled to 11 with the team having full control by making the route from scratch, which is now something Gen 9 console players can enjoy too!"

"The Class 375/3 is the primary traction on the Medway Valley Line and has been a key area of focus for the team, going the distance by implementing a more in-depth simulation of UK GSM-R (Global System for Mobile Communications - Railway)!"

"This allows you to both key in your headcode at the start of every service, and have a simulated conversation with the signaller when contacting them - you’ll even hear different voices based on the nearest local signal box. Alongside this, the 375/3 is getting a new sound set, full guard mode functionality, proper suspension support and of course on-board passenger announcements. All this can be enjoyed on the Class 375/6 which is also included, meaning both 3 and 4-car versions of the 375 with the old Adtranz-style headlights are available."

"Between Strood and Paddock Wood, one can look forward to a steady stream of half-hourly services based on the 2025 WTT, as well as extended Tonbridge runs and other alternative movements throughout the day. The Class 395 from SEHS, as well as the 465, play considerable roles to add life around North Kent, but also visit the MVL on occasions. The lineside industry in Aylesford, as well as Tonbridge West Yard and Hoo Junction, are sure to see plenty of freight action, and I for one am looking forward to the odd railtour or two!"

"From myself, who’s elated with the progress so far, and the Firefly team themselves who continue to work hard, we hope you’re just as excited as I am when their debut route, the Medway Valley Line: Strood - Tonbridge, comes to Train Sim World in 2026 (which just so happens to be the line’s 170th anniversary)!"

Thank you James, we'll aim to share more updates in the new year from their team as they continue to progress with development, and as as a bonus, please enjoy a route map diagram to help showcase what you can expect!

Announcing: DB BR 147 from Dovetail Games

More Information on the BR Class 90 from Alan Thomson Simulations
    [IMG]

Announced back in October, the ATS team have been keen to keep us updated with new screenshots and information for their highly anticipated UK freight loco coming soon to TSW6!
The upcoming BR Class 90 will operate on the West Coast Main Line: London Euston to Milton Keynes route, with a new timetable and a range of five authentic liveries.

ATS: "We've developed deep simulation features for the Class 90, including a fully operational BIS, Working Datacord entry panel, and realistic Neutral Section functionality. UK Safety Systems are fully modeled, including TPWS/AWS/DSD, the new Working Speed Set feature, and Intractable GSMR radio."

"Additionally, we've also introduced Multiple Working capabilities, allowing for heavy-haul operations with other Class 90 locomotives."

We know many of you are exicted to see more and get your hands on this mixed-traffic locomotive, and we'll be sure to keep bringing you regular updates from the ATS team!

We've only showcased a limited selection of liveries in our screenshots, despite the ATS team working on 5 different variations for the Class 90 whilst our team confirm approval for licensed brands being shown. For an un-branded preview, take a look at what you can expect from this below overview image shared in our November Roadmap:

The ATS team also wanted to extend their support for the IMBUE group, who’ve delivered these liveries that complement the pack’s service mode, which was also made in collaboration teams at AND Games.

Gameplay Showcase for Liberec - Stará Paka from Vector Simulations
    [IMG]

Finally, one last reveal for today - get ready for a beautifully crafted showcase video made by the Vector Simulations team, to get you all the latest development highlights for the first ever Czech route in TSW!

As a recap, hear more from the team on their October development details:

Vector Simulations: "Czech Safety systems - our locomotives come with LVZ and LS90 safety systems. Both of those look similar and in theory are, as LS90 is a newer version of LVZ. As this route in reality doesn’t use any code transmission systems, You will mostly use only vigilance features of those. But, we have also implemented outside forces, which can interfere with older LVZ even if there isn’t any code transmitted. So don’t be surprised when a red light on the repeater will flash for a second while You are driving near high voltage power lines."

"Demanding scenarios - this route will come with 7 scenarios varying from easy to really demanding. You will need to operate radios, couple trains together at Liberec yard, encounter multiple signalling and level crossing failures and even drive diverted container train."

Additional included with the release, you'll be able to dive into mutliple liveries for both the Class 750 and Class 843.

Please enjoy a selection of further screenshots we've shared over the last few months:

If you fancy catching up on our previous information shared from the Vector Simulation team, why not dive through our latest roadmap updates:
And that wraps up our second weekly drop, so stay excited, and get ready for a final drop coming next week on Monday, December 15th 2025.
    • Week 3 Drop: Expect 3 New Add-on announcements, 2 Add-on Updates
Christmas 2025 Challenges - Starting Today!
Get your hot chocolates ready! Additionally this month, we’ll be running a special Christmas event, which are separate from December Mastery Challenges. This special event will come as 3 separate challenges (with rewards around three regions - United Kingdom, Germany and United States of America).
Here's a first look at the new posters you can unlock:

    The Festive Challenges
These seasonal posters run alongside the December Monthly Mastery. Each challenge is tied to a specific region, but once you complete a challenge on a route from that region, you’ll unlock that region’s poster and you can display it on any UK, US, or German route once earned.

UK Challenge: Unlock Christmas Tree Decals and the UK Christmas Poster.
▹ Tier 1: Drive 30 miles on and complete 2 timetables while the temperature is under 5C/41F on UK routes.
▹ Tier 2: Complete 3 timetables and a scenario/timetable after exceeding 100mph/160kph on UK routes.

US Challenge: Unlock Snowman Decals and the US Christmas Poster.
▹ Tier 1: Exceed 80mph/128kph and complete 2 scenarios or timetables on American routes.
▹ Tier 2: Drive 50 miles/80km and complete 3 scenarios on American routes.

German Challenge: Unlock 12 Days of Christmas Decals & the German Christmas Poster.
▹ Tier 1: Complete 2 scenarios and collect 3 collectibles on German routes.
▹ Tier 2: Gain 30,000 XP and complete 3 scenarios or timetables on German routes.

Each challenge is locked to a specific region. To unlock a poster, you must complete a challenge on a route in that region, but once unlocked, you will be able to display the posters on any route regardless of region. This means that a US region unlocks the US poster, but then you can display it in UK or German routes once completed.

Get started on these new mastery challenges today until the end of the year!

Train Sim World - Winter 2025 Player Survey
    [IMG]

Help shape the future of TSW with the Train Sim World Winter Survey 2025!

Don't miss our Winter 2025 survey shared last week, aiming to give our teams a greater understanding of our players and use data alongside your suggestions to guide us forward. It will cover your thoughts on Train Sim World 6 features, recent Add-ons releases, and then we'll look ahead to get your input for the type of content you want to see in the future!

This lets us build an understanding of every type of player who plays Train Sim World, and how we can make the best experience with features you want most. We've also spent time this year to localise our survey into German too, so that it better supports our german-speaking audiences when submitting answers to questions.

Head into the Train Sim World Winter 2025 Survey

Please note, everything asked in our survey above is designed to gauge how players feel about new content, and about our games as a whole - it is worth nothing that the inclusion of content/features in the survey is not confirmation that we are developing these, or if it'll happen in the future - this is why we're asking you first how you feel about it.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your thoughts, the survey should take around 30 minutes to complete in total and will close on midnight, December 14th 2025.

As part of this survey, we are also offering 20 lucky entrants a chance to win a TSW Add-on of their choice. We will contact the winners based on information submitted when completing the survey as an optional final step as a thank you for helping us build the future of Train Sim World. (Competition Terms and Conditions).

The BR 147 sounds interesting; it would be really nice if DTG, together with Skyhook, also gave the BR 187 an upgrade.

I can't wait for all the cheap Livery Designer made Intercity 147.5s... Oh well. Prayers have been answered, the TRAXX 3 will be given a 2nd chance! Looking forward to using it on a lots of routes on DB Regio services, whether via Freeroam, or if it substitutes backwards. I just hope the sounds are okay, but I trust that DTG gives their all effort for this!

Nothing for my taste here this time... funny that Frankenbahn hasn't even been released yet, and we're already getting a second timetable announced :o

This quote is funny, at least for me:
    :D

With this second timetable in mind, it would have made even more sense to bring a bit more of a colourful livery mix to the first one...

Once the Class 90 and 805 are both out, WCMLS is going to have a lot of timetables!

With the Class 90 timetable I'm curious if it will just take the Skyhook approach with Cargo Line or copying and pasting the base timetable and then slotting in their extra services or if they will do something a bit more interesting with it.

Medway Valley Line was a bit of snoozer on TSC... but it might be better in TSW. I still think it´s a good choice for the team. Including a reworked section of SEAH, Tonbridge and Class 375 variants sounds really good. All in all a very good pack with a complete end to end run.
Class 90 and the Czech route also looking good. I guess the BR 147 will be a good addition to German stuff.

I'm happy to see the DB 147. I hope this is built from scratch and has no relation to Skyhooks 187 (which for me is the worst TSW release so far).

The Medway route is not really too interesting to me. However, given the development team is a group that have delivered things that have considerably improved my enjoyment of the game, If their DLC is of the same standard,I will be getting it anyway to support them.

The rest, I have no strong opinions on. I might get the Class 90. Not at all interested in the Czech or US routes personally but good to see them coming to the game for those that are.

Medway Line is actually a nice drive in TSC. Though probably helped by the number of Class 411 scenarios out there for it. The 375 is a far duller drive but it looks like Firefly are working to improve the functionality and realism. I think it's a sensible 1st DLC from them.

However and not directed at Firefly, I do wish our friends at DTG wouldn't remark on how excited they are to have their local line in TSW. I can see from the gloating that it must be really nice. I just can't imagine such a situation because I live in the County to the north of Kent and we've had one DLC from you lot in nearly 20 years.

Medway lines looks really good. Another one we'll all have to avoid on console as the article repeats how detailed it is a few times.
It'll be great to see all that blurry foliage added to the blurry trains and stations and track......

Medway's kind of cool, the scenery looks nice. I am getting a little burnt-out from Electrostars, and would have rather seen this in the NSE-era, but I applaud Firefly for their work.

Hopefully Stamford includes the New Canaan branch for a little bonus mileage, but I have my doubts. I'm also really confused by the whole services for the Harlem and Hudson Lines thing? Either they're planning a Hudson Line and accidentally let it slip, or, what I feel is more likely, they're referring to the stub of it off the Harlem as far Yankee Stadium.

The 147 as its own DLC feels a bit much. They are almost identical to the 187.

Highlights of that are the Medway Valley route and of course more on the Czech route. Both coming at some point next year hopefully.

Christmas Mastery probably explains why the December one was low key, guess I'm hanging up ETS2 and FS25 again for a few days to get it done.

Medway Valley + Gravesend to Rainham is an interesting choice. A network of sorts, using bits of another network, of sorts. I like the sound of it, I like the look of it.. I think it could be my first ‘day one’ in a long time!

Can you make your Masteries work? Did a Scenario on Dresden Leipzig which didn't count, and only 1 of the three collectibles did. :|

Very nice! I'm interested in all of these.

Always really enjoyed SEHS, so it'll be nice to get more of that area.

I'd like to echo the request for the New Canaan branch for NY-Stamford. Clearly still early in production so now's the time to make our voices heard. Also no mention of freight this time- hope it hasn't been forgotten!

Another one handled drive route :/ It does look really well crafted and detailed and I will no doubt end up buying it but it's just a shame it wasn't in the early NSE era where we could get something that requires a bit more "skill" to drive..

Looking forward to the 90, had been anyway since it was announced.

US route might be promising but not really interesting to me, might get it eventually :)

Underwhelming really, should've just done the roadmap and be done with it. No doubt they will announce a new Thomas DLC next week :/

DTG Alex DTG Harry DTG Matt I would like to see the photo of the m8 cab itself, which i don't see it here. Also does anyone know if they are going to add the additional 4 stop which is part of the new cannan branch line. They should still at least add this part because half the other station to the last stop which is new haven is not going to end there instead only to stamford, which is a let down. Please DTG Team add at least the new cannan branch line extension to this route. I know many people would like to see it.

Xmas Mastery, UK Tier One is not tracking mileage, for me at least even though the two cold timetable runs are shown complete and should have knocked 28 miles off the 30 total.

NY - Stamford photos look like as if they just started, not sure what the devs were doing were doing when they didnt have any WIP photos of the route.

Excited for class 90, less so for the choice of UK route. Looks good but come on another 20 odd mile route?

A good point. It almost feels like they already regret straying away from the usual 2010s era by adding the new timetable so soon. And I agree that the new timetable will highlight the lack of appropriate liveries in the 2000 version.

That being said though, I am always happy to see new loco DLCs being made and building on existing content. So overall I am happy with the announcement. Same can be said for the Medway Valley Line and the update on the Class 90 which both seems to be taking matter into their own hands with progressing the game towards a more realistic experience.

It's the very first project of a 3rd party. You also get part of sehs in a more remastered version. If you think it's that easy to create dlc, you can always try it yourself.

Did I say it was easy? No. What is easy though is to block you and your pointless replies. Feel free to do the same!

First step was track laying which does take quite a bit of time.

I expect that would have come with the 147 announcement. It seems odd that we still don't have them though, not that this IC1 fan is hugely keen on them IRL.

But hey, they could come as a badly working DLC as usual in this game but this once it'd be realistic, too! =p

Well, we all knew about NY- Stamford already, so no reveal there, though there are some unknowns about the content.

And the Medway line looks like another electric bus stop route with yet another toy train with a prison cell view.

The only surprising reveal is the Czech route, which, I must admit I had my doubts would actually materialize. Well, here it is, and the devs have my apology.

All in all, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

ATS and AABS don't get along from what I've heard.
