Did I miss something in all the recent disscussion about the season ticket?
After getting all the updates on Xbox Series S last night I looked for the new DLC,
what I found surprised me , the price for the season ticket for series S/X is an extra £10
£44.99 as opposed to £34.99 as announced in all the streams I've watched
I don't remember hearing there would be a difference in price

You're looking at the wrong listing. That is for the bundle containing the base game (Sand Patch, Bakerloo, Koln-Aachen) AND the season ticket. The season ticket on its own is definitely £34.99 as that is what I paid for it.

Like Princess Entrapta said the Season Ticketn, including Boston Sprinter, RIESA - DRESDEN and LONDON VICTORIA - BRIGHTON, is 34,99 if you already own the Base TSW2 Game.
    You can find it here:
Buy Train Sim World 2: Rush Hour Season Ticket - Microsoft Store en-GB

If you do not own TSW2 the Bundle for the Base Game TSW2 + the new Season Ticket is 44,99 or 35,99 with Gamepass (Ultimate) subscription. This bundle can be found here and is named "TSW 2: Rush Hour Deluxe Edtion":
Buy Train Sim World® 2: Rush Hour Deluxe Edition - Microsoft Store en-GB
