Hi, on SEHS in the 395 on both overhead and third rail I find as my speed increases the % in the hud decreases despite me not moving the power brake handle and it remaining the same. Is this normal please? Thanks

This means that for example when I’m in the first tunnel section after Ebbsfleet on the way to Stratford on the 2.5% incline despite the PB handle being at 4 (max), the % shows at 17% rather than the 51% it did prior, and my speed is 111 mph or 178 kmh but decreasing as I climb up the hill which isn’t great.

Yes it's normal and it also happen in real life ! Some trains like the ICE 1 can slow down even when the handle is at full power !

Climbing hills is always difficult especially when they are steep like on SEHS High Speed 1.

    Even in full power.

As the train gets faster its power and therefor acceleration decreases its just the way things work

The more power you put in, the faster it goes. You keep accelerating until you stop putting power in, and the decreases only decreases when you start going uphill.
