With the release of Train Sim World 3 and its Training Center, the ability to purchase loco add-ons separate from its "home route" finally became a possibility. Add-ons such as the Dispolok 182, the RHTT, and the Amtrak Acela are able to be purchased without owning any specific route. However, this was not implemented for any loco add-on released before Train Sim World 3 (except maybe New Journeys?). Among those that were released in the TSW2020-TSW2 era, there is one particular loco add-on that really needs to be separated from its home route: the DB BR 101. When it comes to layering onto other routes, the 101 is a master. Along with its home route of Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr, the 101 layers onto: - Nahvehrker Dresden - Hauptstrecke Hamburg-Lubeck - Schnellfahrstrecke Koln-Aachen - Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel-Wurzburg - Bahnstrecke Bremen-Oldenburg - Tharandter Rampe (as AI) Come on now, if this train is adding new services to THIS many routes, why should people be required to own a route from the days of TSW 2020 to use it? And finally, look at it. It's so beautiful and awesome. Out of every add-on to have been released before TSW3, the DB BR 101 has to be the most deserving of being its own individual add-on.
Excellent idea but the best option is making it with a Cab car and intro set to the Training Centre as standard for TSW 3. In one of the streams, Matt said for TSW 2020 & TSW 2 loco DLCs their intros are linked to a home route in this case HRR.
Yes a cab car would be great but matt said they couldn't do it because they offen don't work.I don't know if he ment the real one or the one they might make or both.
Matt said a while back that he wants to uncouple past loco dlc from their home routes but no plans. If it isn't on the roadmap, not gonna happen. It probably won't happen at all or any time soon.
What platform do you happen to be playing on? I just checked on the PS5 version of the game, 101 downloaded without HRR, and there is no 101 to be seen.
PC, my only German route is Kassel - Wurzburg and just after buying BR 101 I have had it in timetables with some IC services. PZB, LZB etc is working fine.
