Welcome to my suggestion about servers in tsw i already have every tsw game but something misses and its a multyplayer mode or an server where you can play with real people. I have so in mind that the host of the server can select one route thats gonna be used in the server and then he can put the option invited only or public for everyone.i read the post about what i have to describe so: i would say the funfactor would increase very much because you can greet other players and u can get greetet back like with a honk or you can spot trains and get real honks or real lightswitches it would be so fun for everyone and i think thats a wish from much players
People have suggested this before and imo, it wouldn't really work in the current state of the game. For a multi-player experience to actually be fun, you'd need a route that'll be basically like a huge network, as well as plenty of side industries to interact with. Otherwise you'll just got from A to B over and over again with the only "Fun" thing being that maybe a train will be delayed, or it'll sound the horn when passing. Edit: I forgot to mention, If you actually need a multi-player experience, there is SimRail that you can play.
Sadly MP will never come in the TSW series due the amount of changes in the core were needed to be able to run TSW the way it does...
It's been mentioned multiple times the game needs to be rebuilt for multiplayer to even be considered.
I had a think and an Idea on how multiplayer could work and have the game start off small but then expand later upon it in my thread here from a while ago on this very suggestion. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...-driver-and-conductor-tsw5.83984/#post-888171
ts clear DTG don't care for multiplayer shame but obvious also in the games current state multiplayer is a bad idea DTG can't fix issues as it is i dread to see how multiplayer will turn out i can just see threads complaining and whining about multiplayer bugs DTG need to fix the game before ever considering multiplayer
If there’s servers somebody might stop the train on a main junction and block the line as well so there would need to be a way to kick them out
Or all manner of toxic behaviour. And then you'd get people trying to kick other people off the instance for spurious, or no, reasons. I don't play TSW to interact with human players, I've got World of Warcraft for that. And that needs a huge amount of resources and systems to run multiplayer instances. No thanks.
