I do believe that most of us have run this service all the way to Brighton only to get a UE crash soon after you opened the doors. I ran it again today and did the dreaded save just before getting to the platform at Brighton and went on in and, as expected, once the doors were open it crashed to the UE error dialogue. OK, now lets go back and reload at the save and run it again. Well with this I was able to complete this one. Now the other one that did this crash, 1A34, crashed before getting to Brighton, at the last stop, so doubt if this would work with it since everything past this stop to Brighton would probably be frozen when you went back, even if the stop now worked. I may try to run it to see if I am correct on the save messing it up past this stop.
Had the same experience. Saved just about a mile outside of Brighton and was able to complete the service on resume after crashing first time around. Even though I had a near perfect run ( no speeding, on time and stopped on the markers at Gatwick and Brighton, I did not medal. Not that I care about such things, of course.
Given up on this, as was stopped at red light after saving game at Gatwick. Tried since and red light never changed. So played it through twice without saving and it crashed on arrival the first time and after unlocking doors second time. Frustrating, please sort it DTG
I never got to the door part. I was stopped at a red light outside Brighton. As I put my map on to see why, the game crashed for me then. PS5. The second time I tried it, the game crashed on approach to Clapham Junction. I never bothered again after that.
I saved it a few times along the route, but did it in one go, and didn’t crash when I opened doors at Brighton.
Went back and ran service 1A34 which had the UE crash on opening the doors at Burgess Hill. When I restarted from a save just prior to the station I was able to stop, open the doors and when ready move off. As expected the save but got me just under 2 miles from Brighton were there was a train stopped at the station just before Brighton. This train had a green signal but was just sitting and the next signal ahead was red. Anyway, a save and resume from the save seems to negate that UE crash bug.
