I know this is odd but it's way better than just noclipping through it and ending up inside it. when getting "hit", the screen could turn black immediately with a gameover message like "Scenario Failed: Hit by Train" or "Rolled Over" or whatever. yes I am implying death here but I don't want to really embrace that, just to have some feeling of failure or whatever
I use it to get on trains I just missed when the doors close… theirs more than enough end session stuff no need to add to it.
I think it is a good thing that the game just completely ignores any such misfortune and carries on with you flipped unharmed into whatever graphic element catches you. Anything else would draw attention to it and become a sort of feature. You are either captured into the train or gently nudged out of the way. It comes across as a game glitch rather than a real accident and that is much better than the alternatives, especially any kind of simulated personal demise such as a black screen and the reason on the screen in words.
By ending the game after getting hit, references you being killed which makes this suggestion an easy no.
To be fair, there is enough simulation of death in all the FPS games without having it in Train sims. Just my opinion.
