I've just got my hands on the Just Trains 7MT advanced.

Trying to run Vac braked AP stock using 70000 Britannia, which has air brake equipment...

When connected to the stock, it doesn't seem to register that it's on Vac stock and only the air brake works. If I use the JT MK1 stock, it works fine but seems a bit strange to be limited to one set of stock, most others have a switch button (like pg up / down on BMG stuff..)

    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks

Is there anything in the manual to say if there is a changeover switch?

What happens if you could the Britannia to other non JT Mk1 stock - do the brakes work?
Even with the loco on Vacuum the Brake Pipe Pressure will still show 72.5 psi or 5 Bar with the brakes released as it is a Dual Braked loco.

So in the Brit if I let the vacuum bleed away, the loco brake applies, but the train brake does not, which shows it's using air not vacuum , tried many attempts so far but can't find anything to switch, even though the manual indicates it's possible, it doesn't say how..

I suggest you ask JT Support - they tend to be quite good at replying during the week.

It may be the case that the locomotive in question just doesn't work with AP coaches. I haven't tested the loco myself so I can't confirm that, but there are some locos or rolling stock that is incompatible with the AP coaches, I presume because of scripting on either the coaches or loco. The Bossman Games inspection saloon prevents (or seems to prevent) the brakes on AP Mark 1s being applied. The consist I was using was an AP Class 52, a rake of Mark 1s and the inspection saloon. Getting rid of the saloon fixed the issue.
