About The Seto-Ōhashi Line (瀬戸大橋線, Seto-Ōhashi-sen) is a railway line operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West) and Shikoku Railway Company (JR Shikoku) in Japan which links Okayama Station in Okayama Prefecture with Takamatsu Station in Kagawa Prefecture via the Great Seto Bridge. It is not a distinct railway line, but an official nickname given to a composite line formed of three different lines. Service commenced along with the opening of the Great Seto Bridge in 1988. The line length is 71.8 km (44.6 mi), with 22 stations. (light blue line) Services SK: Shiokaze, NP: Nampū, US: Uzushio, SS: Sunrise Seto, ML: Rapid Marine Liner, SP: Rapid Sun Port As daytime express trains, there are 15 round trips of the " Shiokaze " connecting Okayama Station and Matsuyama, 14 round trips of the " Nanpu " connecting Okayama Station and Kochi, and 2 round trips of the " Uzushio " connecting Okayama Station and Tokushima Station (coupled with the "Nanpu" between Okayama Station and Utazu Station). In addition, the Sunrise Seto sleeper express train operates one round trip between Tokyo Station and Takamatsu Station as an overnight train. Rapid trains run between Okayama Station and Takamatsu Station . During the day, they generally run twice an hour, every 30 minutes. In the Uno Line section, they always stop at either Senoo Station or Hayashima Station, but some trains stop at both stations in the morning and at night. Some trains also stop at Omoto Station and Bizen-Nishiichi Station in the early morning and late night. In the Honshi-Bisan Line and Yosan Line sections (between Chayamachi Station and Takamatsu Station), they only stop at Kojima Station and Sakaide Station, but in the early morning and late night, trains stop at every station within the Honshi-Bisan Line section and some trains stop at intermediate stations between Sakaide Station and Takamatsu Station on the Yosan Line. Rapid trains within Honshu, this express train was newly established with the timetable change on March 14, 2020. It operates one round trip each between Okayama Station and Chayamachi Station in the 12:00 and 13:00 hours. It stops at every station between Okayama Station and Senoo Station, and does not stop at any stations between Senoo Station and Chayamachi Station. In addition to the local trains that stop at all stations, there are trains between Okayama Station and Kojima Station, as well as direct trains from Chayamachi Station to Uno Station on the Uno Line. Trains run once or twice an hour between Okayama Station and Kojima Station.
