How do you change the settings for the distance and speed, I would like to change the distance from mile to M, and the speed again from mile to KM, but I can not find any such setting in the setting area of the game
For TS2020 there is no setting to change the distance and speed all the routes will be in there correct speeds and distance. However if you're referring to TSW2020 go to settings and you change the speed from miles to km and vice versa km to miles and this will also change the distance as well.
The reference to change from miles to kilometers is in the track rule, the set of rules that governs the geometry of the track. So if you're driving a German route, it'll automatically be using km/h, because the track rule is set to km/h, whereas, if you were driving an American or British route, it would be set to mph.
The OP is most likely talking about Train Sim World where you have to change the settings if you change UK+US to European Routes. But like so many others has has posted in the wrong thread. Peter
Okay in TS2020 all routes will come up in their correct speed and distance there is nothing to change.
I would like some consistencies and get that HUB to at least show the distance using M, and the speed using KM, like it does in every other game that use mile or the double thing called M and KM In Canada we use the M and KM system
Unless you modify the routes themselves (a painstaking process), you can't. The heads up bisplay will always, no matter what, show the units used in the country the route is in.
Personally, I think this is better as you don't have to try and convert the speed signs to the unit on your hud
In Canada uses the same speed and distance as the US does everything is in miles. German routes are in KM's.
Since when it has always imperial system for our railway, I have a scanner and listen to both CP and CN where I am and here speeds read out by their RTC in miles per hour not in KM's.
Though Canada uses kilometres per hour on roadways, rail speed limits are set in miles per hour (mph).[13] Tracks are classified and the speed limit is determined by the type.[13] The track class speed limits are nearly identical to the speed limits set by the Federal Railway Administration in the United States.
So when you are driving a Canadian Diesel Loco on CANDA(?) track and it says you should be travelling at 40 and the Speedo also shows 40 why do you think it is wrong?
