This route has probably been suggested before and it's probably way too late now anyway, but this year is 25 years since the first Train Simulator was released by Microsoft in May 2001.

This iconic route would be brilliant to bring to TSW6 as we already have most of what is needed, for example the Steam locos can layer in from Flying Scotsman/Spirit of Steam etc. Freight can layer in from the multitude of class 66 packs. The route could come with the class 158 in Northern livery for the Leeds to Carlisle Service as the unit already exists and would just need modifying to Northern livery and interior. They could even layer in the new class 805 if set in January this year when the diverts were on.

The reason this route is so iconic is because it was the every first route for a Train Simulator in the UK and the route itself is iconic with various viaducts including the famous Ribblehead Viaduct.

Apologies this suggestion isn't as indepth as many of the clever people on here who can provide graphics etc.

How wicked would this route be set in the current day?

A much-needed route. Include a Class 50 "Hoover" like the MSTS version of the route.
