Class 52 - AWS cannot be set with immersion controls. The internal cameras are still fixed so using them will not work as there is no cursor with immersion controls to use and you cannot move your centre dot to the AWS changeover lever or isolation lever. There is also no keyboard shortcut for the changeover lever so AWS cannot be set that way. The fixed cameras also mean you cannot access to switches on the lights panel and so have to do this blind from the one moveable seated camera position.

The tool tip notifications on the right of the screen do not appear for the reverser (NB this is also true in the Class 395 on SEHS, just to save a separate bug report just for that).

Journey Chapter 1 - After completing the Class 52 tutorial, the next service placed me in a Class 45. Not what I, or anyone else, would expect for the very first service of a pack where the Class 52 is the default loco.

Class 31 limited stops run - multiple issues. I don’t know if I have randomly picked a rogue timetable service but this is what I found on it.

Service 2N05 Reading to London Paddington - Class 31
    1. There are no station times at all for this service. I don’t know if that is true for all of them or just this one.
    2. The brakes are set to Air Goods
    3. The doors open on the wrong side (you need to open right doors to actually open the left doors)
    4. The gradient and signals are shown behind you when you stop and the gradient train icon does its usual trick of being the wrong way round.
    5. On the approach to Slough, you are routed down a 25mph side route for no reason. Along this route there is a signal at danger with a call-on signal for returning to the mainline for the station stop.
    6. On the approach to Hayes & Harlington you are similarly routed down a slower line for a period before returning to the main line for the station.
    7. When leaving Hayes & Harlington station the signal is at danger but shown as yellow in the HUD. Passing it does not cause a SPAD and you are routed via another slow line before returning to the main line. There is no call on signal illuminated.
    8. The final stop is labelled as “Stop at Location” rather than an actual station stop.
    9. No medal is awarded at the end of the run.

For that one run alone that is far too many separate issues for me. Along with the other issues above, this is not the level of quality that I would expect for a £14.99 timetable pack. I haven’t even scratched the surface yet, so I’ll let you know what else I find as and when I do.

i was going to complete a tech report myself but stujoy has spent his time beating me to it; I also picked a random 31 and got the same issues. However.... additionally

    1) completion of 52 tutorial in journey mode asked me to continue my journey with a class 166

    2) DSD on class 52 is not aknowledgable, it keeps going until you turn it off in vestibule

    3) I used livery editor on class 101 and next service crashed as I was being approached by a 101 (coincidence??) since restarting I have not seen a single 101 in my livery. Is livery editor working?

I may need to edit as/ when I find more.

I really don’t often complain but I defended this pack as a good idea

new issue - 3am gronked carriages to Paddington, waited for 52 to arrive, went to couple to coaches to discover coupling already happened and I’m still getting message to couple.... I’ve tried uncoupling and coupling again but to no avail

Thanks for adding the extra info. I probably complain more often but I too have been bigging this pack up on the forum. I was expecting more of a rebuild for the 52 but the static internal cameras are a feature of only the older locos, so it feels more like the reskin people have been complaining it is. I was expecting the whole timetable to have, well, a timetable, and not to have the pathing errors that scenario planner has. It feels so far like the 31 timetable at least has been made with scenario planner rather that the real tools. I expected better.

Try to get a refund. The idea is good but poorly executed. This was also probably not throughly tested

The idea of a modern timetable (well semi modern since the route isn't fully modern) and a old era timetable for a route is a positive thing for fans of old or modern or both. It was a good idea but at the end of the day it was poorly executed for several reasons which I've explained. If it doesn't do well, the idea shouldn't be abandoned but they should actually add the correct common train instead of a train that was rare on the route and was more common in br blue, not br blue/grey because it's not like they would add a 465 to east coastway and a 313 to sehs, and make the scenery look like the the era the route is set in. It would have gotten a more positive reception if that was the case.

Appreciate you taking the time to point out these errors. I will share your feedback.

I understand it can be disappointing if you are looking forward to new content and it's not met the standard you are expecting.

Please do continue to share any further comments and thoughts you have as you explore more of this pack.

The question is, how have these major bugs slipped through once again? An important part of a timetable is having times, and for these to be missing from a timetable add-on is more than puzzling.

The stream last week gave me some hope that this pack will actually be worthwhile, but the amount of bugs I've seen today coupled with the freight services missing on release, means that I won't be purchasing it in the current state.

It's strange that DTG can go from a high quality release last week to delivering something like this...

ive had no problems so far except the last scenario think it was all change. take a class 101 on the last leg of a journey and put it in the sidings at reading.
i stopped at reading and the unload passengers came up and it opened the doors after waiting 10 mins no other instruction came. to close the doors or go to the sidings.
im thinking this scenario is bugged but i will try this one again sometime.

The first time I've opened the timetable I got 5 bugged services, all supposed to be starting at 00:00, but not actually existing. It is the same story once again, shame.

I noticed these too. If you look at the bottom of the timetable for the 52, there's a similar service just before midnight. I think those glitched services are meant to occur after it but as the game world only covers a 24 hour period, the game doesn't know what to do with those 5 services that go over the 24 hour period.

I've also noticed that a lot of timetable services are missing medals. If you look at the 31, there are none. If you look at the 08, there are some.

Well I pressed ahead and bought it....
Initial thoughts as said above really. I can understand that a lot of it will take time to fix but really the doors opening on the wrong side and the timetables need to be fixed asap....
Also, this 'go via location' is annoying, but there are bigger issues....

Class 52 the AWS below the drivers seat is non existent on the PS4 version.
Doors open on the non platform side.
AWS bell does not work on the class 31 going into London.
And pressing the camera button reveals the back of the train and not the front.

I have had the same issues on PC with this service. When I completed this run I wanted to drive a return class 31 limited stopper from Paddington to see if it too was acting strange. Well, I walked to the adjacent platform, got in the cab and as soon as I hit "begin" the train freaked out and flew off the tracks ending the session. I am not pleased by the lack of quality. Driving the 47 was fun though, and that seemed to work alright so I guess it's just an issue with the 31.

I have a issue with the Class 101 "All Change" scenario while just stopped at Reading. It tells me to unlock the doors and I did unlocked my doors, the game won't register. I had tried to do that in different cabs across the train even both sides and still not registering either.

I have exactly the same problem - Does anyone at DTG actually test anything properly before it's released? I like the BR Blue era, so I thought I would give this pack the benefit of the doubt, wish I had kept my money.

    Addendum
1 - Also have the same issue with the 5 services all starting at midnight - I spawn just on platform with no train in sight.

2 - They've not even fixed the issue of the internal lighting on the class 101 shining through the top of the roof. If they the base model was reworked to make it livery designer compatible, then could this not have been fixed?

From what I am reading here as a non-owner of this it seems that Class 31 is somehow completely flipped. But it is normally not a problem to work a flipped loco, Class 20 is usually put this way. Here it seems from what I've read it's somehow flipped deep in the code making everything on the 31 trains work backwards.

Custom liveries cannot be selected for the Class 101 in scenario designer (idk if having NTP and TVL installed has something to do with that), nor do liveries appear on AI stock in timetable mode

Team_Rockin if you can get me some more detail on that, that would be appreciated.

We're collecting feedback to see what's up folks, and also to find out why some of this stuff seems to have slipped through the net so please do keep the feedback coming in but provide as much detail as possible (many of you have, thank you!) and that will help speed things up.

    Thanks

I drove the 101 morning ecs from Southall depot to Hayes bay platform. The stop marker was halfway along the platform rather than next to the buffers.

Ah come on now. It is disappointing when the first impression of a new DLC you have bought is a bad one but that’s part of being one of the first to buy it. I expect there to be bugs if I buy straight away, I just didn’t expect so many so soon. And part of that is then giving feedback so DTG can fix them. I would advise people now to maybe wait to buy it until the first fixes come in but you have to give DTG a chance. I wouldn’t have reported the bugs if I thought there wasn’t a chance they would be fixed, and there have to be some people reporting these things otherwise they would still remain broken.

It’s all well and good Sam and Matt coming on here thanking everyone for their feedback but some of these issues should not be there on release.

The doors opening on the wrong side has been around for ages and they haven’t even bothered to fix this for this so called new release. Much was made about people buying this for the timetabled services to discover that on some there isn’t even any station arrival times.

To me i dont think the brakes are right on the class 31 im having to brake a long way out just to stop in the platform. im braking at first application 1.5 miles out. brake any later like used used to on TVL at around 600 yds and you have no chance of stopping in the station with this diesel pack. do any heavy braking and it takes at least a minute for the brakes to release

I’ve always found the Class 31 brakes to be dodgy. It’s like there are no brakes at all.

The Scenario 'All Change' is bugged at the end of it. You get to Reading and it gets stuck on the unload passengers

On PC if you sporn on foot at Paddington anytime after 16:20 a class 31 sits at platform 9 that has mounted the buffers, when this train is driven by AI it will stop at Paddington 16:15 in the correct place..
2A65 23:57 London to Slough fails to show up if I sporn after midnight

I bought this offering to support DTG with new UK content, was I expecting it to work flawlessly? No... Yet, I get the impression they are in up to and beyond with this game tech, but fair play at least they're trying.

I have had to reel in my expectations and now treat TSW for what it is... a game that's just a bit of fun, littered with more bugs than my old flea bitten cat. I wish them well but they really need to 'cut the bull' and test stuff a bit more before release...

I will eventually pick up this DLC, but only when it floats under £5. It really should (in my opinion) be a completely free layer for anyone that owns the limited-use Class 52 for WSR.

I fully understand that this DLC to a DLC with multi side-DLC dependency has a value as a pack for anyone that doesn't already own the red Class 52, but I did wonder how far they took the re-skin, and how far they got "building it from the ground up", so to speak.....

So - for example... if you look at the works plate on the blue Class 52 that says "BUILT 1963 SWINDON", and then cast your eye downwards.... is there a label that says "TOILET FUSHING WATER CONNECTION", or does the connection fLush this time?

I don’t think it should be free, but the price does seem a bit steep for a timetable modification.

For the price, I expected it to be more polished than it was. I was also expecting the "not a reskin" 52 to actually be more than just a reskin.

I think it could have been free, for people that had already bought the red version of the Class 52, a copy of GWE, a copy of WSR, a copy of NTP, a copy of TVL, a copy of the Class 31, and a copy of the NTP Heavy Freight pack, as a general good will bit of development (that only took a handful of hours to create.... a "non-zero" amount of hours.... but very near to zero....). But.....

.... I don't actually object to DTG testing out "Diesel Legends" as a product, and testing the £15 price point. They could have tested it at £45 if they wanted to. Nobody is obliged to buy it at any price. It obviously upset a lot of people, and people called it a "cash-grab", etc. I don't agree with this sentiment, as a cash-grab (in my opinion) is something that you are forced to buy, in order to enjoy a significant part of the game (and usually in a competitive game), or not play the game at all. And this DLC is absolutely not a significant part of the game, or a pre-requisite for any other part of the game. Maybe, following the success* of this pack, we will stop seeing generous layers added to German routes, and we will soon be offered some "German Electric Legends" packs instead, with new timetables/scenarios, for say, €25 a pop.

What I do not understand though (getting back to my main point), is that DTG have x5 FTE employees (maybe more now), that are solely working on progressive upgrades to content that has already been purchased. This is good will development, in my book (and I am extremely grateful for it), and a really good idea to keep everything moving forward. I just think it is a shame that this did not include the revised GWE timetable and train substitions that form the bulk of the Diesel Legends pack.

    -------------------------
*NB: It was surely a success, because it probably only needed to sell about ten copies to turn a profit..... ;-O
