The bite alarm sound is way way too quiet, it needs its independent volume control. Line clip settings are all over place, hardly the same two or three casts in a row. I had a clip set at 22yds when I cast it stopped at 11yds. Tested this over many clip settings and casts and it is all over the place. The Sonik Xtractor 5000 reels the whole spool and everything rotates, and on other reels the line on the spool stays where it is and the spool goes up and down inside it, looks most odd. Think all reels will need looking at.
agreed on the bite alarm, from what i have heard something will definately be done about it, on the line clip issue, i have had it where you throw out the spod, reel it to where you want it, clip it, and on the graphic it actually comes up that its clipped to shorter than the graphic that shows how far it is actually out. Regarding what you are saying, maybe when you re-cast out the line it goes so much shorter as if you do it with too much power still it will "hit" the point of where you clipped it then bounce back as an opposite reaction
