I would love to see this route in the game 16miles of scenic beauty and some lovely stations, Kidderminster, Bewdley, Arley. Highley, Hampton Loade, Bridgnorth all have a great charm and character. Happily pay £30 for this route and £15 for a prairie tank engine.
I am an hour and a half away but travel there often. Will be there again tomorrow and would love to see it in TSW. It was one of the first Just Trains routes for MSTS, then SSS did it for TSC and they are nowvproducing a highly detailed route for TSC soon, but would love the joy of TSW for SVR. I was born 15 minutes from Kidderminster.
We could do with another heritage railway West Somerset is the only one at the moment so another would be brilliant let's hope it comes in the future
Yes, I don't live nearby but have visited a handful of times and it is a beautiful route, so a brilliant suggestion mate.
I am also 15 minutes from Kidderminster! I hope if we get another preserved railway it is done differently than the WSR, i.e. where it actually features some trains which actually run there. In service mode on the WSR you don't even get the correct class 47 (North Star) or the correct class 33 just random numbered versions, well that was the case, I haven't used WSR for a couple of years. It would be great to the SVR represented though.
Would be nice apart from the usual caveat about trundling along at 25 MPH with big locos (steam or diesel). However it would be a nice route on which to introduce a couple of GWR locos - Pannier Tank and maybe a Hall or Manor along with some GWR coaching stock.
I always thought it would have made a great mini network, for either sim, set in the 50's from Shrewsbury to Kidderminster and Hartlebury. With the Wooferton and Much Wenlock branches. You wouldn't need a huge roster of stock to run it. Surely much more interesting than as a preserved railway.
I was there again at the SVR yesterday and a Pannier Tank 7714 was in operation. Lovely day and a wonderful railway. All the volunteers are so friendly and managed to get on the footplate and feel the warmth of their fire.
I'm also local to svr, although I've not been for a few years, but I always think it would be a great route to use on tsw. Most of the diesel classes are already on tsw so it's just about adding the route. Then have a diesel gala in the timetable.
