Random trend that's been going around lately so I though I'd jump in (Context Below): So it was about 6pm at night a few years ago when my TV stand was small so there was nowhere to put them (bigger now ) and I was walking to my kitchen when I tripped on my PS2 control but for some reason the thumb pads weren't on so they cut half of my hand open but the major thing was is that I was really shaken up about it to the point where I stopped breathing for about a minute. And that's the story on how I almost d*ed. Let me know your stories down in the comments.
I can't provide a picture because I would prefer to keep the place where I live somewhat private but I were walking my dog and went towards the footbridge over the railway line in my village. The gates at the crossing were shut and I couldn't be doing with waiting for up to ten minutes or maybe more. So I went up the footbridge, walked across it and started to go down the other side when halfway down my knee gave way and I fell all the way to the bottom my head narrowly (by about 2 inch) missed the fence pole which according to the doctor would have wiped me out permanently. That is the most recent near death experience I've had.
In high school (almost 15 years ago, I feel old) my forestry class went out to cut some dead trees out of town property/power company ROW. I was running the tractor with the winch and got down to go talk to one of my friends for a minute. One of the other students was cutting through a large tree and I (incorrectly) assumed he had just started his cut and was not making his final cut. All of a sudden my friend shouts "Jesse STOP!" and as I freeze the tree being cut by the student drops maybe two feet in front of me, brushing pine needles down my face. The worst part was my only reaction was a slightly unnerved cackle. I was fully aware I was two steps away from a quick end, but that's what my brain went with!
TBF Something like that could've went a lot worse. Especially if that pole was any closer. Did anyone come over and ask if you were ok?
Yes luckily the people waiting in their cars at the crossing and a few people from the pub came over and helped me up and took me into the hospital just to check me over. Since then I have always just waited at the gates as it wasn't a particularly pleasant experience!
I'm not sure how close to a terminal experience this was, but many years ago when I was a student, I was on an industrial attachment with an MoD research establisment. One of the tasks was to assist with some work being carried out on an old puffer that was moored in a Scottish sea lock. It was the last day about 8pm in November, so already dark, and there was just two of us (me and a Scientific Officer) packing up. This involved loading stuff into a small dorey (a small rigid boat with an outboard motor) and then getting into the boat. The SO was already in the dorey and I was attempting to climb down into it with quite a heavy swell running. Not being at all experienced I found myself up to the waist in water clinging on to the side of the puffer. The SO was having kittens as neither of us were wearing life jackets and if anything had happened to me he would have been in the muck. Fortunately I managed to get into the dorey with nothing more than a few scracthes and sopping clothes.
I'm out and about atm so I can't give an image: A 2p coin, and (unrelated) a Glass. Both from my earliest years on the earth, in fairness to myself. And yes, I'm being very loose with the term 'almost died' here.

I seem to remember 2 points of close calls from my life journey’s. I don’t have any sort of picture as non were taken then, I think it would have been random to take any sort of picture at the time they happened. the 1st was when I was holidaying at a place in Spain called Salou, it was at a holiday campsite place, what just so happened to have a pool and a jacuzzi. A jacuzzi of which was quite a deep pit when you’re about 5 years old, they’re was a rather skinny ledge around the interior rim of it just before it drops off to the bottom of it, which I couldn’t get in and sit on, or my head would have been submerged (and I couldn’t and still can’t swim properly to this day) but I could stand on it which I did, anyways a short time after I slipped straight of it down to the bottom and couldn’t swim back up.. I got lucky in that there was 2 others in the jacuzzi at the time who were several years older, they swam down to pick me out of it and put me outside of the water. the other time was also Spain but I think it was a different year but same place (Salou) (not quite so fatal but would have been something I wished to forget) I went to board a local/tourist bus at a bus stop in order to get to the water park, it was getting quite full up of people boarding when it tuned up. When it came to my turn to board I could only stand exactly where the doors were as people were speaking to the driver to purchase their own tickets. Not long after that, the people in front had moved on and the driver shut the doors as the bus was full, and without realising I was standing at them. Noticing this I tried to step back quickly before getting squished by them, in doing so I fell off the step with my leg landing in front of the bus’s front right wheel as the bus moves forwards (I froze like rabbit in headlights)… once again saved from danger as people who didn’t get on the bus hit on the bus’s side to get the driver attention to stop.
My worst near-death-experience was in Highschool: I was boarding at the back of a tram that was quite full, waiting for the people inside to move on. I had already placed one foot on the tram, but was still standing on my other foot on the platform. I was talking with some friends standing next to me on the platform when I suddenly felt one leg starting to move: the doors had closed with my foot in between them and I hadn't noticed it. After a few hops I realised I wouldn't be able to hop along with the tram and was able to grab the doors in the gap that was still open because of my foot. People on the tram started yelling and about 300 meters further the tram came to a stop and the driver opened the doors, allowing me to leave it. I was too shaken up to do anything other than walk away, glad I survived it. I probably would've been badly injured or worse had I been unable to hold on to the doors. Nowadays tram doors have a safety that doesn't allow them to move when a door is not fully closed, but back than (I'm talking almost 20 years ago) the old PCC-style trams in Ghent (picture below) didn't have this safety. Never stepped on a tram again without being sure I'd be able to fully board without getting stuck between the doors. (For anyone wondering: Moscou is a district in Ghent, there is no tram all the way to Russia from there )
Recently one of my family members told me a story on how I almost went when I was like 2 years old or something. So to put it in my perspective from the top of my garden we go to the bottom then go right to go back in the house then go right again to go into my kitchen but the other way went to the living room (that part is not important) but one of my family members (think it was the same one. Long time ago and I can't remember what actually happened) But I was by the door and a lot of works was going on but all of a sudden things like drills concrete and other stuff came tumbling down while I was there unaware the family member came to the rescue and I missed the falling stuff by inches. Still find it crazy that I can't remember that though.
I'm going to read between the lines here and suggest that, what they're saying is: "I would show a picture of how I nearly di^d, but I can't because I the police shot at me, and I broke my phone camera in doing so."
My memory is very poor but i do remember once when i was around 8 perhaps, my dad and I were shooting his air rifle at targets in the garden. I don't remember how exactly but one of the pellets ricocheted off of the target and flew past my ear at high speed. If i recall we weren't wearing any eye protection so that could have gone badly. Quite funny.
