Prior to arriving at Moorepark you're switched from one track to the other without being instructed there's a speed reduction from 90 to 60, instead it's 90 to 75. Then, there's no sign informing you of an increase of speed from 60 to 110. I just took a 68 point penalty because of it. I've reached out to support but haven't heard back. Anyone else with the same issue as me? Please let me know.
Have you thought about telling people which route and train you are driving? Or are we expected to Guess?
TrainFreak1994 It's not unusual for routes to have sections where the speed limit changes without warning. These are often due to errors in route building and can be corrected if you know how to use the editor. Some routes are worse than others. Alternatively, do what real drivers do and learn the route.
This isn't the real world. Even then, they have provide notice of speed limit changes in real life. I'm still learning how to use the editor. Plus these routes shouldn't have any errors considering that I had to pay for it. This was a DLC add-on so I expect it to be perfect. Otherwise just give it away for free or let someone who's gonna be committed to putting forth high quality products for sale.
Sometimes the change in line speed is indicated by the Signal Aspect or the in cab ACS And which Northeast Corridor, there are three. Springfield - New York, New York - Philadelphia and Washington - Baltimore. Is it a default scenario or one that came with other DLC? If you gave us the full info somebody else could try it.
Must be W-B. The usual answer is a signal aspect, for crossovers. Likely a flashing green. Usually it's unexpected, so either the signaling is bad (should have advance), the penalty is bad (it's fine to slow down after passing the signal), or the scenario is bad (the dispatcher should tell you about the crossover), or the player didn't pay attention (happens to the best). Sounds like the train is moved from the slow to the fast track. Ideally the fast should have a HUD speed board to update / refresh the speed. Although after switching, once the signal restriction expires, the new speed usually shows up somewhere and you'd pay attention. The NEC is the least safe railway I've ever played so far in terms of fixed signalling (speed limit boards). Also plenty of incidents due to drivers forgetting about speed changes over the years. One could say it's one way to get rid of equipment. Unfortunately it's often the newest.
W-B has these scenarios A selection of Career and Railfan Mode scenarios are included: 1. A Typical Day 2. Tracks are for Trains 3. Supercell 4. Thermal Expansion 5. Frozen in Place None are called Sliver Star
Sliver Star? The scenario is from the Acela pack https://store.steampowered.com/app/65231/Train_Simulator_Amtrak_Acela_Express_EMU_AddOn/
Oh well. In that case all points are even more proven - the old NEC has those sudden signals, ideally warning about the crossover but otherwise you have to know. And about being specific. Funny because I didn't remember the scenario name, but I do remember that the Silver Star is going to Miami, so it being an Acela is interesting. ps.: Blonde in black. Even if fake. Weak spot exposed.
And you are complaining from something that was released in October 2011. If you expect everything to be perfect you will be disappointed.
