Will there be step-by-step simple route tutorial? Not just video tutorials but written tutorials. I tried to use QGIS to get STRM data but nothing shows up on the image window where Open Street Map image is.

In Train Sim Classic, you can create a new route using the world editor from within the game. In TSW4 Editor, I want to create a blank flat terrain (no STRM or LIDAR), load OSM images, lay tracks, and run trains. Is this possible?

Yes, you can actually do most of that by following the PC editor preview stream. Not sure about the OSM images, but Google Maps works.

By any chance jeffmorris from the Trainz side, NYC Subway fame? Welcome to the dark side.
I’ve been dividing my time between Surveyor and trying to learn/understand this UE4 based one and it is challenging!

Well it’s going to be challenging and interesting in equal measure. The good news is DTG are actively supporting the process and hopefully between that and community input everything will eventually become clear.
