Hello! I open my own route with routebuilder and then click to simulator then everything goes black and I have to restart the computer. What do you think is wrong?
Very hard to find out without having the route. I take it you're not running the Experimental DX12 beta. Run LogMate.exe, repeat what you did then post the logfile.
Yes, unfortunately it does not give a lot of information other than some issues with Assets\Italia and Assets\Pikku. Would you mind zipping your route's folders and uploading them to workupload.com, you can set it to one download only so it will be deleted automatically after I downloaded it. Send me the link via PM.
I've checked Bergensbanen. It is as you described - I've loaded in into World Editor, press Play, then Black Screen due to RailWorks64.exe not responding. Need to close TS via TaskManager. This happens on v72.3b (old core) too, so the issue is not the core update. I am afraid I can't help you on that, as it is using so many assets I do not have (and I've got a lot)... and you need to find out which asset is responsible. Try to remember what you've added last and remove it. When creating routes, make regular backups so you can return to the last stable version incase something goes wrong.
Hope this helped - ruling out things can point you to the right direction too. So it's neither the update nor your PC. I've spent a lot of my holidays traveling Norway, sleeping in my tent on the fjells surrounding Lysefjord or next to lovely Tvindefossen (near Vossavangen), and would really love to see a decent route for TSC. If I find the time I'm gonna experiment with your route and let you know when I've found the culprit.
That was pure magic. It was so quiet I could hear my own pulse (after turning off the radio listening to the great Harald Are Lund (RIP)). The melting snow provided water for washing and coffee and it became a very hot sunny day. Three latvian girls asking for the way (on a 16 miles or so one way road) stopped by This is a few kilometres before the serpentines leading to Lysebotn.
Tyskland. My home station, Malsch, is featured in Bahnstrecke Karlsruhe-Strasbourg. When I feel like goin north and the weather forecast allows it, I just pack my stuff into my car and drive via Frankfurt, Kassel, Hamburg, Puttgarden -> ferry to Rødby, København -> Öresundsbron -> Malmö, Göteborg, Strömstad, Oslo, along the E134 via Notodden, Stavanger and then the scenic route along the fjords (Rv13).
Getting very nerdy here. And very OT too. The A7 from Hattenbacher Dreieck to Göttingen is a fantastic work of pre ww2 engineering. I love driving that part of the A7. The sharp bends, the steep inclines, the nature… You wouldn’t design a highway like that today. Strange thing coming from a Danish person, but i’ve driven the entire a7 close to a hundred times and i have a strange interest in pre 1945 german highway architecture. You can actually often tell just by looking at how the road is designed, if it’s pre or post 45.
Why not have a nice little OT chat - if it is ok with Thor-Ulf? Kim, I noticed the Rødby - Puttgarden ferry being full of swedish, danish and norwegian cars when returning back home (mostly arriving at Rødby around 10pm). Many of these I saw till Frankfurt. It seems a lot of Scandinavians enjoy the german highways and getting speed out of their Audis, BMWs and Mercs at night. The A7 is fun if there's no roadworks... Thor-Ulf Ståhlberg I suggest the 50/50 method for finding the bad asset pack. 1. Remove 50% of the used assets (check RouteProperties.xml for the list) from the Assets folder to a backup location (just create an Assets.test folder - it should be on the same drive/partition so it's done instantly) ---- if error persists, move these back and remove the other half. 2. Again, remove 50% of the remaining assets... and so on... Just do not ever remove Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore! This is the fastest way to pin down the assets responsible for the crash.
Hello! Now I have woken up the Bergensbanen to work well with RW32 bit. I found a lua file called SE DV4 Signal.lua which is corrupt. It needs to be updated to work with the new TSC.
Great! These are freeware signals I guess... Which asset pack are they part of? Because it crashed on my end too, I'm likely to have these signals too. Edit: Just checked, I have this in KMW\sweden. The first thing that seems awkward for me is that the folder names contain an "@" - which is very bad practice. It can work - but it can stop working... coders stick to 7-bit ASCII UNIX compatible file names! I'll edit the blueprints to refer to properly OS-friendly named folders and see what happens.
How do you know it's corrupt? Remember the route is crashing on the old TSC v72.3b too. Core update is not the issue here. -> Route only works in 32bit due to 64-bit incompatible script(s)? (no matter which core version)
I moved the lua file away, then Bergensbanen works with 32 bits. Could it be due to misplacement of dwarf signals?
Interesting - I made the changes to the signal files I've described above - and Bergensbanen loaded up fine in 32bit, though refusing to work in 64bit (all testing on the old TSC core - as soon as I get it to run on the old 64bit exe I will switch testing on the new core).
I have this folder - the newS signals seem to be ok and do not have the "@scripts" folders like the KMW\sweden. Could just make a simple test route using only these signals and see if they work - the scripts look totally valid to me, using only integer and boolean operations. What I got in my library is newS\misc, newS\norway, newS\sweden. Idea: Make a backup or clone of your route - then delete everything except RouteProperties.xml from the folder, so you're starting out with a new route with all assets you're currently using being active. Lay some track - check. Place signals - check again. So if it crashes during this stage you can be 100% sure it is an asset. Place all available signal assets on that test route, when crashing just remove some to see again. Of course, with the huge amount of preloaded assets you are using, it can be tedious.
Hello! I now did as you recommended me. Everything works fine with RW64 and RW32. This means that the route has flaws somewhere that crashes. I don't know how to find the errors. Remove all signals manually and begin over. Sigh!
Hello! I removed all signals at Åls and Myrdals stations. Now I'm trying to reposition signals and it's not going so well. It crashes and has to restart the computer. It is difficult and I worked very hard. I almost feel like giving up. (Google translator.)
Keep it up! My task is to be able to find all the assets used, as I'd really like to play Bergensbanen. (No ground textures yet...)
Isn't there "Rebuild" that MSTS has, for TSC? Texture of newS: http://www.klemund.de/RailSimulator/files/terrain-textures_by_newS_v2.rar
https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbi...It3oDsp_Z2OVGLpLQ1R7SGJyZEKPhSM5Q&__tn__=EH-R Drive with 32 bit.
I remember having the Swenbanan route installed many years ago http://www.klemund.de/RailSimulator/downloads.html It was quite good to drive - even with a Taurus Does anyone know of other Swedish or Norwegian Routes for TSC?
Swedish tracks are: Trollhattan by me, Jönköpingsbanan by Hgv and Malmbanan by newS. Norwegian tracks are: Bergensbanen by me and Nordlandsbanen by ADDE.
Hello! Our signals don't work with 64-bit anymore, but on the other hand, with 32-bit, housed works fine. The creators have finished TSC, so there will be no updates.
I attempted to purchase the Rc loco from that forum but unless you had a Swedish Bank account you could not.
